Overview

Kothagiri in Tamil Nadu is a picturesque hill station located right next to the famous queen of the hills, Ooty, and serves as one of the best spots in Tamil Nadu to enjoy nature trekking experiences. Surrounded and covered by the forests of Nilgiris, Kothagiri is one of the lesser visited places which makes its charm pristine, untouched and quiet.
Blessed with some of the most breathtaking views, endless trekking trails, and famous waterfalls, Kothagiri is a place you will always find on the bucket list of the adventurers. But the beauty of this place beckons a large number of people to come witness the magic that it hides in its folds.
This package takes you to the amazing environs of the hill station of Kothagiri to enjoy days worth of trekking in the hills of the area and camping under the billion stars. On this tour, you will be trekking to see the famous Kallar Valley viewpoint, cave hikes, trek to Catherine Falls and a dip in the falls.

Over the course of 4 days and 3 nights, you will be left with a number of memories to last you a lifetime and pictures of the amazing views forever stuck in your head

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Chennai to Kothagiri

    .Day 1 - Depart from Chennai

    You will be picked up from the following stops in Chennai

    08:30 PM: Pick-up from Porur Toll gate (After Porur toll Plaza)

    08:45 PM: Pick-up from Guduvanchery ( Near Guduvanchery Bus Stop)

    09:00 PM: Pick up from SRM University (Near SRM University Main gate)

  • Day 2 - Arrival in Kothagiri

    Day 2 - Trek to the hilltop

    Approximately by 06:00 am, you will reach the campsite after the overnight journey from Bangalore.

    Freshen up and have breakfast.

    Post this, start your trek to the hill by 08:30 am and your lunch will be packed.

    En route, have lunch and reach the top by noon. Explore and unwind the less explored trails.

    Watch the amazing surrounding from the top.

    Return to the homestay by sunset and relax by campfire (depending on the weather condition).

    Have dinner and relax.

  • Day 3 - Trek to Catherine Falls

    Day 3 - Visit to the waterfall and return

    Wake up early and refresh your mind.

    Post breakfast, begin your trip to the second highest waterfall in Nilgiri, the Catherine Falls.

    After enjoying its beauty, begin your return journey to Chennai. By 09:00 pm, you will reach Chennai

  • Day 4 - End of experience

    After arriving in Chennai, you will bring the experience to an end.

    This package took us to the unexplored lands of Kotagiri. It was spellbinding. The view was absolutely fantastic. If you are a nature lover, this is it! These guys organized it well for us. The trek was easy and they out in effort to make it all the more exciting for us which was appreciable. The food was nice too. Catherine falls was beautiful. If you're a little adventurous, you should take a dil in the falls!

    on our first day we travelled from Chennai to kothagiri and reached the place next morning. i was on my solo trek so after getting acquainted we started our trek. it was thrilling trek and then we went to Catherine falls on our last day. overall experience was great

    After having taken the trek I think the trek is a little overrated but it is a nice one of you are looking for a short break from routine life. You can even go with your family as I did since it is an easy trek.
