Himachal Pradesh is the perfect example of what a true Himalayan beauty looks like. Green hills of immense height covered with an infinite blanket of green trees, that changes to a sheet of pearly white snow come winters. And with so many hills here, some being of the perfect height that they can be climbed as part of an adventure. With that being said, Patalsu peak near Old Manali is one such hill you can summit to get an impeccable view of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. This tour takes you on a chance to climb the Patalsu peak and camp in the Solang Valley and near the Peak.
About the Activity

  • The trek takes you to a hill that can be climbed to its summit within the reaches of the old Manali, that is the Patalsu Peak
  • You will be trekking to Solang Valley for a night in the camps there, before taking to the trek to Shahadugh for camping there
  • The next day, you will begin your climb to the top of the Patalsu Peak
  • After reaching the heights, you will spend some time there before climbing back down to the camps, from where you will trek back to Solang Valley to bring your trip to an end.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Old Manali to Solang Valley

    You will be arriving at the designated point in the old Manali and will be visiting the Manu temple before beginning the adventure

    Begin the trek by making your way from here to the Solang Valley

    After arrival, you can choose to take part in the many activities curated here at your own discretion and cost

    Overnight in Camps in Solang Valley

  • Day 2 - Trekking from Solang Valley to Shahadugh

    The day will be dedicated to making your way to the campsite at Shahadugh, carrying packed lunch

    As you pass through the forests of Oaks and Pines, you will be spotting a lot of wildlife on the way

    The camp is set an open meadow with a breathtaking view

    Overnight and dinner at camp

  • Day 3 - Shahadugh to Patalsu Peak and Return

    After breakfast this morning, you will be beginning on the toughest part of the trek so far

    After trekking for about an hour through the tall trees, the vegetation will disappear altogether at a certain height

    Continuing on the trek for a while will take you directly to the summit, from where you can enjoy some of the best views of the Himalayas and the Dhauladhar range

    Spend some time and have your lunch before retracing your steps to reach the campsite

    Overnight and dinner at camp

  • Day 4 - Return to Solang Valley

    After breakfast, trek back to the Solang valley to bring the trip to an end
