Kodachadri Trek is a popular trekking destination in Shimoga, Karnataka. Nestled in the heart of Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, the trek takes you through thick forests, paddy fields, lush grasslands, & picturesque waterfalls. The trek's summit, at the height of 1,343 meters, is the tenth-highest peak in Karnataka. Along the trip, explore the ancient temple of Goddess Mookambika & Nagara Fort to learn about the stories and history surrounding the Western Ghats.
About the Activity:
- Gear up for an adventure weekend trip with your friends at the thrilling Kodachadri trek near Bangalore.
- Get picked up on the night before your trek begins in order to reach the starting point of the trek on time.
- Drive through the districts of Tumkur, Shimoga, and Nagara for around 8 hours, covering a distance of 400 km.
- Arrive at Kumble Village after a long journey, rest for a bit, have breakfast, and get ready for the adventurous trek.
- Set out on this incredible hiking adventure on the second day, walk through the lovely woodland, and the breathtaking Hidlumane Waterfalls, and let nature's magnificent splendor mesmerize you.
- Touch the Kodachadri Peak's summit after a good climb and get a glimpse of the stunning highlands and surroundings.

Know Before You Go for Kodachadri Trek
- All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival and entry.
- ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
- Timings for meals will be specific which will be informed to you by the guide.
- Pay heed to the guidelines given by the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
- Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products is prohibited during Kodachadri trek.
- The above pickup and timings as been selected based on the Bangalore traffic Jam and the timings will help the participants to reach on time to the campsite and maintain the time schedule of the trek.
- Because of any reason natural or personal, if the trek or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed
- The Kodachadri trekking takes place through an eco-friendly zone; we do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
- For safety purposes, a Kodachadri Trek is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone that has had major surgery, or has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.
- The exact pick-up location and time will be confirmed after the booking.
- Additional charges to be paid are for the jeep while descending down from the peak: INR 350-400/ person.
- Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
