Kheerganga trek is the most recommended one among all the treks in Parvati valley and takes you through some amazing scenery. It needs neither too much time nor any prior trekking experience which makes it perfect for any beginner trekker or a backpacker.
While strolling through the magnificent landscape of Himachal Pradesh, you will be treated to majestic sights of nature. On the trail, pass a few wooden bridges and some slippery sections.

How to Reach:
By Air: The nearest airport to Kasol is the Kullu Manali Airport, also known as Bhuntar Airport. Direct flights are available from New Delhi, which takes approximately 1.5 hours. The connecting flights from major cities are available from Mumbai and Bangalore, which takes up to 7 hours. However, the time varies depending on your layover, which majorly would be New Delhi. Some airlines flying on this route are Alliance Air, IndiGo, and Air India. Further, from Bhuntar, you can take a car or a taxi to reach Bhuntar, which is approx 1.5 hours away covering a distance of 30 km.
By Train: The nearest railway station from Kasol is Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is located in Himachal Pradesh. Some of the trains that you can travel from include Ptk Jdnx Passenger, Kir Fzr Special, and Shc-Srgr Special. It is 144 km away from Kasol, and you can cover the distance by hiring a cab. Moreover, you can travel by bus, which will drop you off at Manikaran, which is approximately 6 km from Kasol.
By Road: Kheer Ganga trek is approximately 23 km from Kasol. There are many buses and local or shared cabs which will drop you at Barshaini. It is the starting point of the KheerGanga Trek and is 16 km far from Kheer Ganga.

Know Before You Go for Kheerganga Trek
- In case of operational issues, camps will be pitched at Rudra Nag.
- Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
- The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
- Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
- Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
- Avoid using earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
- Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
- Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitisation and use of mask recommended.
- Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in.
- The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
- Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced driver especially for hilly terrains available.
- All the activities depend upon the weather.
- Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
- Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
- Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
- Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
- Forest entry charge INR 50 extra.
- Trekking experience are totally weather permitted
- In any unforeseen circumstance( landslides or heavy snowfall) if Kheerganga Trek cannot be conducted then any alternate trek will be conducted or alternative will be provided by the operator as per their discretion based on the situation and availability.
- Permit charges are not included in the Kheerganga trek package.
- It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Kheerganga trekking.
- Avoid consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicants during the Kasol to Kheerganga trek.
- Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the Kheerganga trek package.
- Consult a physician before undertaking the Kheer ganga trek. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
- The Kheerganga trek from Kasol takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travellers littering may be fined.
