Chidikho Trek Bhopal Overview

Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is a scenic wonder gifted with amazing elements of nature. One such wonder is the forests of Madhya Pradesh, where there are gems waiting to be discovered. One such amazing element is the beauty of the lakes that find their home here. 

Amongst the many lakes here, one located some 90 km from the city of Bhopal is famous amongst most of them. Known as the Mini Kashmir of Madhya Pradesh, Chidi Kho is a large lake located in the middle of Narsingarh Wildlife Sanctuary of the Rajgarh District.

Starting from the gate of the sanctuary, you will trek alongside the river where the terrain ranges through ups and downs to finally arrive at the lake. After lunch, you will indulge in a bout of photography and dipping session in the lake. Post this fun session, you will be taken to see the famous attraction of Shyamaji-Ki-Chhatri. From here, a different route through the forests will take you to the exit point, where you can board the bus to return and bring the experience to an end.

Note: Minimum number of bookings required for the activity- 15

Timings of the activity: 7.00 AM to 9.00 PM

Chidikho Trek Bhopal Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Trek to Chidikho

    7:30 AM: Reach the pickup location at the Bhopal Railway Station

    8 AM: Begin the journey to the Narsinggarh wildlife sanctuary from

    8: 15- 30 AM: You will be having a short halt for breakfast.

    9 AM: Reach the Narsinghgarh and get a small briefing about the activity, Narsinghgarh Wildlife Sanctuary & chidikho for 10 Mins. You will then start the trek to chidikho from the Village.

    10:30 AM: After walking for 1 hour to 1.5 hours in the evergreen forest, you will reach the chidikho, where the huge lake will welcome you with friendly splashes of water. You will be staying at the top for a couple of hours and get refreshed, maybe even take a dip. Lunch will be served in the meanwhile.

    12:30 PM: Trek to the Ancient temples Paintings and enjoy the arts manship and storytelling of the ancients.

    2:30 PM: Trek back to the village.

    4:00 PM: Reach the Narsinghgarh & continue the journey back to Bhopal.
