Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Cochin to Munnar (125 kms, 3 hours by road)

    Scenic Beauty, Spice Plantations, Valara Falls

    Once you arrive at the Cochin airport/railway station, you will be driven to Munnar. Also known as the ‘Kashmir of the South’, Munnar is one of the most enchanting places to explore with its picturesque and panoramic views. On the way, you can check various tea plantations, rivulets, colonial style bungalows and waterfalls. En route, visit the spice plantations and Valara Falls. Upon arriving in Munnar, check-in into the hotel and relax for the day; overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Munnar

    Madupetty Lake, Nursery Garden, Rajamalai Park, Tea Museum, Walking Trail

    After breakfast, a sightseeing tour will take you to all the attraction centres in Munnar. The starting point is Madupetty Lake followed by others like Photo Point, Echo Point, Nursery Garden and Rajamalai National Park. Once these are done, you will see South India’s Highest Point known as Anaimudi Peak. There is an exploration of Tata Tea Museum as well. Evening will be reserved for a delightful walking trail through the spice/tea plantations. If you still have time in hand, then you can rejuvenate yourself with a blissful ayurvedic massage or the famous night safari and Kathakali show of Munnar.

  • Day 3 - Munnar to Thekkady (Periyar) (85 kms, 3 hours by road)

    Spice Plantations, Waterfalls, Boat Safari, Spice Market

    A drive through the mystical valleys of Munnar will take you to Thekkady today. Surrounded by cardamom hills and lush mountains, this journey can be one of the best journeys of your life. Grasslands, waterfalls, trekking trails and other natural marvels will be your companion during the journey. After settling down in the hotel, a guided sightseeing tour will be organised. Starting the tour with a boat safari in the Periyar Lake, you can have some of the astounding views of the wildlife in the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Spice plantation and a walking trail will make you familiar with the spice culture of Thekkady.  If time allows, jungle patrolling or an ayurvedic massage can also be undertaken. There are also options of Kathakali and Kalaripayatru Shows; overnight stay at Thekkady.

  • Day 4 - Thekkady to Kumarakom (135 kms, 4 hours by road)

    Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kerala Back waters

    Post breakfast, you will be guided to Kumarakom. Located on the Vembanadu Lake, Kumarakom is popular for houseboats, back waters and palm groves. Once you reach the destination and check in at the hotel, rest for a while and then refresh for the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Kerala Back Waters visit. There are other optional activities like houseboat/motor boat ride in the back waters and ayurvedic massage; overnight stay in Kumarakom.

  • Day 5 - Kumarakom to Alleppey (48 kms, 1 hour by road)

    Houseboat Stay, Cruising

    A short drive from Kumarakom will take you to Alleppey. Once you reach, there is a check-in at the houseboat Kettuvallam which is quite famous in the state. The lunch will be served at the houseboat and then there is a cruising plan through the various canals, lakes, river and lagoons. There is a small visit to the Paddy Field as well in the Kuttanadan region.

  • Day 6 - Alleppey to Cochin (55 kms, 1 hour by road)

    Sightseeing at Cochin (optional), Tour Ends Here

    Today morning, you will be taken to Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin, you can either opt for a drop-off at the airport/railway station or can avail a brief sightseeing tour with a little extra cost. This half day tour will take you to various attractions and churches and palaces of the place. This includes Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Marine Drive, and St Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Net and Muttanchery Palace. With the completion of the sightseeing, this astounding tour will come to an end.
