Periyar Tiger Reserve is the home to immense greenery, dense forests, and some of the most interesting species of wild animals in their natural habitats. This camping experience in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady is one that is hand cut for all the nature lovers out there.

Factual information:

Situated in the Cardamom Hills and Pandalam Hills, the camp inside the forest makes for a smooth viewing during the day. The campsite and the activities are maintained by a team of rehabilitated poachers and tree cutters of the park, hardy and dependable individuals who know the place and the beauty by heart. You will get the chance to encounter many native species like Nilgiri langur, giant squirrel, elephant and who knows, even a tiger! Normally, 20 to 35 km of trekking distance will be covered, depending on the route chosen. Throughout the way, get to listen to unusual and strange adventure stories of the former poachers, now your guides and protectors of the forests.

Activity:
The major activity of this experience is the 25 to 30 km long jungle trek that will open you up to views of the wildlife that prevails in this area.
