- Roads to Kufri can get slippery after snowfall; follow your guide’s instructions and avoid walking on icy patches.
- ATMs are available in Shimla, but Kufri and nearby areas may have limited cash facilities — carry some cash for activities or snacks.
- Mall Road and The Ridge are pedestrian-only zones; be prepared for a bit of walking and dress warmly for windy evenings.
- Photography is allowed at most places, but avoid taking close-up photos of locals without permission.
- Network connectivity is generally good in Shimla, but Kufri and Mashobra may have patchy signal during snowfall.
