I went on the Pushkar Camel fair 2015 with my friends. We were a group of 10 friends who decided to have some camping fun. This indeed was one helluva travel experience for me. Initially, I thought if it is a festival in Pushkar, it will only be about camels and cattle. However, when I went there, I was left agape. There were several fun and adventure activities organized too. Right from the camel ride to paragliding and enjoying some thrilling moments on the Thar’s Golden sand, I enjoyed every activity that we did here. Camping again was a thrill. Ours was a 3 day trip which left with us lasting memories. We danced, sang songs, played games and shared stories with people who were just like us. Surprisingly, besides the number of locals here there was also an array of foreigners who were having an equal fun on the lands of Rajasthan. Of course, when you see them enjoying, you get a different level of satiation. They were not only participating in every activity but also relished on the Rajasthani food, as much as we did. You have to keep your calorie count aside and completely immerse yourself in the typical flavors of Rajasthan. Surprise element of this festival was the cricket match. I am not sure whether it was included in our itinerary but I was definitely not aware of this. We Indians are cricket buffs so we never shy away from cricket. Here a match was organized between foreign tourists and the local Pushkar club. This was super fun. Of course, we won this friendly match and our enthusiasm was at a different level altogether. Do go there, not just for the camel rides but also to partake in the different activities here.

I will not say, if you are in Pushkar during the fair days, you must visit this fare. Ask me why? Because, even if you have no such plans, you ought to be there to attend the Pushkar Camel Fare. It is an incredible experience that will help you carry with you so many memories home that you’ll just not be able to get over it anytime soon. Right from the food to the accommodation to the activities, everything was beyond perfection. Our tents were very well maintained. We were provided with all the necessary amenities in the tents in advance that we never have to ask for anything. There was sufficient water provided and the sheets and blankets were all neat and clean. Our camping experience here was indeed better than the ones we had at core camping sites. Further parasailing and camel rides were very well organized. I loved it. Food was delightful and very delicious. I’ll definitely recommend you to try this annual fair at least once in life to explore the true flavors of Rajasthan or rather a rural shade of India. Make sure you click several pictures with horses, camels and cattle here to ensure that you have a reason to come back again and again.

If I sum up my experience at the Pushkar Camel Fair or Pushkar Mela in one word then it has to be magical! Indeed, it was every bit magical for me! I have never experienced such humble and warm people elsewhere in my life. I work in Mumbai and you know people here have completely lost the personal touch. So, this for me was my high point of the 3 day Pushkar trip. Food again was a sheer delight. Every dish we ate was so well prepared that you cannot help but hog on more. You’ll actually experience the real flavors of the villages in Pushkar and other parts of Rajasthan. Delicious! I have eaten Rajasthani Thali before but that was at some restaurant in Delhi. When I compare the taste of the two, I can’t just help but fall in love with this place further. Stalls here sold some Rajasthani ornaments and clothes which were colorful and nice. I even bought few Rajasthani jackets for myself. Camel ride and Quad Biking were an absolute delight. I had never done these activities before but the instructor here made sure, we were all safe. Great experience! Definitely will come back next year!

. It wouldn’t be an understatement if I say that this was the best experience of my life. Of every activity that I did here, I completely enjoyed quad biking and enjoying some time on the golden sands of Thar desert. You know, I wouldn’t be lying if I say that I didn’t expect such informative instructors to be here. They were so well informed and knew how to carry out different atcivities. All in all, this experience was worth every penny that I spent. Strongly recommended for all!

I went back to Pushkar Fair after 4 years. We wanted to give our children an experience that stays with them forever. The very atmosphere, sounds, smells, livestock, sunsets and the beautiful oasis village, everything is just perfect. It is nowdays a good idea to book the tickets online in advance to not miss out on this festival as finding any stay or accommodation at that time is very difficult. We booked nearly a month in advance and were delighted with the best tents here. I am so thrilled that my kids finally tried something desi. I am originally from Pushkar but live with my family to Gurgaon. Why wouldn’t I not want my kids to have a feel of my roots? It was a simple experience with too many surprises. Camel ride was an obvious fun. Rajasthani cuisines were out of the world. Every meal that we ate had a different local cuisine of Rajasthan. People cooking here did take an effort to keep our taste buds satiated. I very well appreciate the efforts taken by every member of the team right from the organizers to the cleaning and maintenance guys, all of them did a pretty well job to ensure that the guests were at an absolute comfort. To this date, I have tried several adventure activities but the quad biking that I tried here was very well set up. It is a good and a very cost effective package. If you want to experience something unique and apart from the rest of the world, this festival is meant for you.

The quaint city of pushkar indeed has a beautiful charm of its own. I feel extremely fortunate to have visited this city through thrilophillia, especially at this time of the year when this otherwise quiet city comes to life. Pushkar fair was an experience to remember. The vibrant colours of the traditional dresses donned by the locals and the that of the accessories of the camels were nothing short of a delight. The warm welcome that we received from the resort staff contributed in making our stay a pleasant one. However, I felt that the food could have been much better. The adventure activities that were a part of the trip made our trip much more memorable. Camel safari on the sands of the Thar desert , quad biking and para motoring did not fail to give us a gush of adrenaline. I would like to mention one incident over here. When we reached the adventure site, we were informed that the pilot who was supposed to conduct the paragliding activity for us had to rush home for an emergency. The staff then arranged the para motoring activity on the spot and did not charge a single penny extra from us even though the latter was costlier than what we had paid. We also had a wonderful time shopping for lovely dupattas and saris in the streets of pushkar, visiting the only brahma temple in the world, being a part of the nagada event, interacting with locals, witnessing the traditional Rajasthan dance by school girls and the work of a skilled sand artist. We made memories to be cherished forever. It is a must have experience of a lifetime.

Pushkar Camel Fair Adventure Festival is one delightful experience that everyone must take with them. If you are able to find a good stay over there, you're just in luck. It is not just about the camels and the cattle here but rather about the farmers and artisans who travel miles and miles to bring forth their art to you. Believe me guys, the art they present to you is very well worth the recognition. Besides that, this 5 day festival is completely power packed.

Pushkar is indeed a very beautiful city in Rajasthan. The place becomes all the more beautiful during the month of November exclusively because of the Camel fare that is organized here. Usually, during the days of Karthik Poornima this fare is organized. We played a lot of games, carried out some fun activities, bought some amazing things from the stalls here and ate some really delicious food. Every bit of my stay was made beautiful by the people there. They ensured that our tents had sufficient mineral water and other amenities to ensure our comfort was not compromised even one bit. Will I recommend this tour to you guys? For the love of Rajasthan, camels and Rajasthani food, totally! Will I go back again? Every year that I get a chance to be here, I’ll be here.

The highlight of my visit to the Pushkar Camel Fair 2015 was the authentic Rajasthani food and the culture and tradition depicted there. There were several stalls organized there selling Rajasthani handicrafts and souvenirs which were not only pleasing to the eye but also are top grade in quality. I even bought some earrings for myself which look every bit lovely. Camel ride here can be a super fun. Besides, I really enjoyed camping here. We danced on Rajasthani folk music at the night with other members camping here. I didn’t really get the lyrics of the Rajasthani folk but that didn’t stop me from having all the fun. :P The locals who were sitting with us were extremely warm. They even translated the lyrics for us and shared so many stories about the Rajasthani tradition and culture which was not only very engaging but also very interesting and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. You know I went there on a 2 day trip, however, when my trip was actually over, I wanted to stay for longer. None the less, it was an awesome fun.

This year I went to the Pushkar Camel Fair Adventure Festival and shopped some great skirts, jackets, juttis (footwear), earrings and bangles for myself. The stalls here sell some really authentic stuff that you really must get your hands on. They are very intricately designed by the skilled craftsmen and artisan who come here after traveling several miles just to present their work. Besides, camping here was super fun. I enjoyed, danced and sang some Rajasthani folk songs with the Rajasthani people in the traditional dress of Rajasthan. Super fun! Will definitely come back next time round.

Love camels? Want to ride them amidst the golden sand of Thar Desert? It is time you pack your bags and head to the Pushkar Camel Fair Adventure Fest. I was there in November last year and believe me guys the fun and thrill that that place offers is simply unmatchable. Right from the food to the accommodation to the activities, everything had a very desi feel and touch associated with it. I’ll just say anyone who wants to feel closer to the rural hubs & vibrant colors of Rajasthan, this festival is a great opportunity.

We all know how beautiful Rajasthan is. Often people miss out mentioning the beautiful Pushkar city. We went on this 3 day and 2 night tour to the Pushkar Camel Fare. True, it is being called the camel fare but you’ll see everything from horses to livestock and cattle here that too in thousands. Another common site here at this fare is of the farmers and craftsmen who have set up their stalls here stocking some of the most authentic and top grade varieties of Rajasthani clothing and ornaments. Beautiful! Simply breath taking! I cannot explain how delightful all this made me. Further, the cooking staff was so good. I didn’t get a chance to meet the person organizing the meals, but you have to believe it, there was sheer magic in their hands. Food was so superior in quality that you cannot contain yourself. Flavors, quality and freshness, everything was top rated! Beside this, we also enjoyed the activities that we played here. Food, accommodation and activities were all included in our package so it was pretty much feasible for us. All in all, this is one experience that everyone must have at least once in a lifetime.

My experience in the Puskar Camel Fair was beyond ordinary. There were camels and camels everywhere I would put my eyes on. I had a total fun experiencing the camel ride here. You know, you cannot go from the land of camels without riding the camels. Food no surprise was a delight here. I still remember the taste of Dal Bhatti that I ate there. Finger Licking Good! If you have a thing for camels and Rajasthani cuisines, you definitely must plan a trip here. I went for the 2 days . There is more you can do if you plan a longer trip. One of my friend told me that these guys organized a cricket match with the foreign tourists for them. I missed out on that but all the other activities are more or less the same. Camping, Quad Biking and Parasailing are some activities that we enjoyed here. Prices for both the tours are both budget friendly. I simply cannot thank these guys for giving me such an authentic experience.

Went to the Pushkar Camel Fair Adventure Festival in 2015. Oh boy, was it huge! We knew it was going to be grand but when we went there, I simply couldn’t believe my eyes. It was indeed the largest fair which was graced by several thousands of camels, cattle, and the other villagers.Be assured you’ll get to witness way more than this in this biggest traditional carnival. The cultural events and fun events were indeed a lot of fun & amazement. I have a passion of photography and believe me guys everything here is indeed a sight you would want to capture with you. Awesome fun. Will definitely recommend this to all.

We have been in India for over a month now. I along with my husband started touring India from its Southern tip and progressed towards north. If I be honest to you, in this one month we ventured almost every known and popular site of India. So, last week we were in Delhi and our 2 week stay was left in India. I was shopping at the INA market where I was communicating with a lady from the Rajasthan stall. She told me about the Pushkar Camel Fair Adventure Festival which was to begin next week. I was so delighted by the description that she gave me that I knew, I wanted to get there. After getting all the necessary details from the web, we headed for Pushkar. For us, it was a 3 day and a two night tour at the Pushkar Mela. This indeed was the highlight of our India venture. There were cattle and camels everywhere. It was my first time at camel ride and believe me guys, it was super fun! Food, the typical Rajasthani food we ate was a delight. It gave an orgasm to my taste buds and I just couldn’t have asked for more. Though oily and a little spicy for my taste, I definitely ate more than I usually do. Indeed, I have done camping at multiple places in the world but the warmth and the hospitality we received here was unparalleled. On the whole, it was really cheap and a once in a while experience that will definitely be etched in my memories for many many years to come. I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends in London who fly down to India. Right from the people to the food and the activities that we did here, everything was beyond perfect. Kudos to the organizers!

There were thousands of horses, camels, cattle, farmers or traders who had come here from several miles away. Shops here were exquisite. Everything that was stocked in these stalls had a flavor of Rajasthan. I bought some bangles and earrings for myself. My daughter took a skirt which has a Rajasthani print and looked every bit royal. If I have to give you one advice for shopping here, I would say appreciate the art and the hard work of the artisans here. They have put in a lot of effort to create something so unique exclusively for you, so please don’t spoil the whole meaning of it by bargaining. I have seen so many people bargain here. Of course, they do over price a bit, but why not just value the fact that you’ll own something unique and handmade? At least, I would not suggest you to bargain for the prices here. One should partake in all the activities and carry with you an experience that will stay you grounded and connected to your roots. It was a delight being there.
