Trip Starting From: Bhuntar
About the Activity:
Report at Rumsu base camp, reporting time is 0 5:00 Am onward.
Rumsu village is located 5 km from "Naggar" which is a famous tourist destination.
Those who are coming via bus from Delhi or Chandigarh make sure you get down at "Patlikuhal" (pronounced as patli - cool), from there you can board a cab to Rumsu. Today there will be "Acclimitization walk" to Pulag and some adventure activities (Rappelling and Hands on session in rock climbing).
Start with a jeep ride for Barshaini from Rumsu. Then trek from Barshaini till Kheer Ganga. It takes around 4-5 hours to complete this part of the trek. The trek is easy with less ascend.
There is a small village (Nathan) and then one bridge over the ferocious Parvati which comes across during the trek to Kheer Ganga. The place is known for its hot water spring.
Stay overnight in Kheer Ganga.
Today, begin the trek by 09:00 AM from Kheer Ganga for Tunda Bhuj. The trek takes around 5-6 hours. The route is easy with a moderate ascend in the end. The entire route runs on the right side of Parvati River. Also find Gujjar settlements at Tunda Bhuj.
Stay overnight in tents at Tunda Bhuj.
Start the trek from Tunda Bhuj to Thakur Kuan that runs almost on a normal plain with no ascend on the right side of Parvati River.
There is a broken wooden bridge on the way on Parvati River. The route then becomes difficult at a rocky patch of 15 metres known as Patra Ghat.
After crossing it there is a climb of around one hour to reach to Thakur Kuan.
Start the day hike by crossing Pandav Bridge, which is made from a single huge rock above Parvati river.
Continue your trek on the left side of Parvati river and have your lunch break at Rubithach, which is a big plain ground.
Reach Odithach and relax.
Stay overnight in tents at Odithach.
Today, after breakfast trek to Mantalai from Odithach, which will take around 6 to 7 hours to complete and is mostly plain with some intermediate ascend.
During the trek, you will come across two difficult bridges, made up of two rock boulders and are known as the Pandav bridge.
Reach Mantalai in the evening and relax.
Stay overnight in tents at Mantalai.
Trek from Parvati Side Base Camp to Pin Side Base Camp
Trek from Mantalai to Parvati Side Base camp will be the main ascent in this tour.
During your trek, pass Kala Khor Nalla, which is a big stream and it is important to be utmost careful while crossing the stream and is crossed before 10:00 AM when the flow is minimum.
After crossing the stream, descend on route and reach Parvati Side Base Camp.
Stay overnight in tent at Parvati Side Base Camp.
Start the trek early in the morning at around 06:00 AM and head towards the Pin valley side base camp.
During the trek, pass through a glacier patch before the sun rise, which can make it slippery.
While trekking, behold the beautiful South Parvati and Ganesh peaks far at the distance.
In the evening, reach the Pin valley side base camp after crossing the Pin Nala and relax.
Stay overnight in tents at Pin valley side base camp.
The descend till Pin valley side base camp is moderately average.
Mud Base Camp to Manali
Today is the last day of trek and the trail is easy and plain.
During the trek, pass through left side of 'Pin Nala,' and join the road to reach Mud village and the distance is around 35 km.
Reach Mud Base Camp in the evening and relax.
Stay overnight in tents at Mud Base Camp.
Today, after breakfast, start your jeep ride toward Manali via Kaza and Rohtang Pass.
During your jeep ride, pass through Spiti Valley and behold the picturesque scenery of the same.
On the way, also pass through Kunzum top, which connects Kullu Valley and Lahaul Valley with Spiti Valley.
Stay overnight in tents at Rumsu Base Camp.
Depart the base camp after having your breakfast and the experience ends here.
