About the Activity:

  • Experience 19 huge days of amazing scenery, adventure, hiking, wildlife interaction, Aboriginal culture and a lot more with Aussie Wanderers ‘Ultimate Safari’ from Perth to Darwin! Darwin is one of the most modern cities in Australia.  
  • Tour along the West Coast and into the wild and remote Kimberley wilderness where you will experience a fantastic combination of adventure, cool hostels, amazing coastline, wildlife, camping and tranquility.
  • This adventure tours allow you to visit the Monkey Mia Dolphins, Snorkel the Ningaloo Reef, Explore the depths of ancient Karijini, relax on Cable Beach in Broome and then venture along the Gibb River Road, one of the country’s most challenging journeys to explore the rugged Kimberley Region. 
  • Visit breathtaking gorges and waterholes, beautiful camp grounds and working cattle stations, see the Bungle Bungles and finish in the tropical city of Darwin.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Perth to Kalbarri

    Your first stop today is the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park.

    Enjoy a fully guided tyour through these amazing limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre before you have lunch by the sea.

    After a quick stop in the town of Geraldton it’s on to Big River Ranch for some true blue Aussie hospitality and your overnight stay.

  • Day 2 -

    Kalbarri to Shark Bay

    Today you visit the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, Natures Window and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park.

    Here, you have the option to try abseiling into the gorge! ($30) If conditions allow, you will cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before you’re back on the bus travelling north to Shell Beach and Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort for your accommodation.

  • Day 3 -

    Shark Bay to Coral Bay

    This morning you will meet the famous and friendly Monkey Mia Dolphins and get some amazing photos.

    Then join for an optional 1 hour wild life sail ($35), hire a Kayak and go for a paddle ($15) chill out on the beach, or at the resort.

    Then you will be back on the road mid-morning where you will visit the breathing rock formations and the Stromatolites, before settling in to your accommodation in Coral Bay, located right on the famous Ningaloo Reef!

  • Day 4 -

    Coral Bay

    Today is yours to enjoy the many great tours and activities Coral Bay has to offer, Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery, swim with the manta rays, go for a scuba dive or snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef only meters from shore (all activities at own expense).

    This evening you take the short drive up the peninsular to Exmouth and check in to your accommodation.

  • Day 5 -

    Exmouth

    Today you will spend the morning exploring Cape Range National park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, followed by breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches.

    You’ll then experience snorkeling at the stunning Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire $10), visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyearing Visitors Centre and more before you return to your accommodation late afternoon.

  • Day 6 -

    Exmouth to Karijini National Park

    Up early on day 6 as you will travel east through station country and stop at Tom Price, the highest town in Youstern Australia, for supplies.

    Then you will head to the amazing Karijini National Park where you will stay at the multi award winning Karijini Eco Retreat in Eco Safari Tents with your own verandah, quality beds, linen and hot showers!

  • Day 7 -

    Karijini

    The next 2 days will give you plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40.000 years of culture.

    You will visit and hike the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Youano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more.

    Then late on the second day you will travel further north to Pardoo Roadhouse and check in your tents or swags for a night of camping under the stars.

  • Day 9 -

    Pardoo Road House to Broome

    The morning of day 9 sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some ayousome photos! When you arrive in Broome you will take you for a tyour around town before you check in at your accommodation, The Kimberley Klub Backpackers.

  • Day 10 -

    Broome

    The next two days will allow you to enjoy free time and all that Broome has to offer! Go for a swim at the stunning Cable Beach, explore China Town and its pearling history, watch a movie at the world’s oldest open air cinema or ride a camel on the beach with sunset!

    Ask your tour guide for any assistance with booking tours. Then you will check out the cultural variety of eating venues for your lunches and dinners or cook your own at the hostel.

  • Day 12 -

    Broome to Silent Grove

    You will be departing Broome early, head east towards the Gibb River Road and arrive at Windjana Gorge in the Napier Ranges for lunch.

    After lunch you will explore the gorge to view the native birds and resident freshwater crocodiles. On this afternoon you explore Tunnel Creek, an ancient reef system which is said to have existed 350 million years ago – before heading to Silent Grove for your first night at your campsite under the stars.

  • Day 13 -

    Silent Grove to Mt Elizabeth

    On day 13, enjoy waking up to the wilderness so very far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

    You will explore more of the region’s gorges including Bell, Galvans and Manning.

    The water levels at the time of your journey will determine which gorges you visit, hoyouver each are unique and special in their own right.

    After a day of walking and swimming in these magnificent natural attractions you will travel to your overnight location of Mount Elizabeth Station.

  • Day 14 -

    Mt Elizabeth to El Questro

    Heading further east you will explore, swim and hike this amazing part of the world. You will then drive across the Pentacost River and visit the beautiful Emma Gorge before arriving at El Questro for your first of two nights in this outback oasis.

  • Day 15 -

    El Questro

    Day 15 will allow you to discover some of the one million acres of the El Questro Wilderness Park. You will soak in Zebedee Springs and then visit El Questro Gorge. Continuing yyour exploration through the many optional activities on offer.

  • Day 16 -

    El Questro to The Bungle Bungles

    On this day you will make your way to Purnululu National Park home of the world famous Bungle Bungles.

    Then in the afternoon you will begin exploring the amazing sandstone formations of Echidna Chasm before giving a hard-earned rest and settle into camp for a relaxing evening.

  • Day 17 -

    Bungle Bungles to Lake Argyle

    On the morning of day 17 you will explore Picanninny Creek, The Domes and Cathedral Gorge with plenty of opportunities to take incredible photos of the famous 'beehive' shaped domes.

    There is also the option to take a helicopter ride over the domes, definitely one to tick off of the bucket list! You will then head towards Kununurra and make camp at the Argyle Tyourist Village.

  • Day 18 -

    Departure

    Return journey in the next 2 days.

    Experience ends here.
