The climate of Matheran is very cool. The most unforgettable things about Matheran are the deep forest and the waterfalls nearby, especially in the rainy season. The beauty of the hill station gets doubled in monsoon. Matheran is truly, ‘The Best Hill Station in Maharashtra'. It covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. In this hill station, there are as many as 36-38 viewpoints such as Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Panorama Point (provides 360-degree view), Monkey Point, One Tree Hill Point, and many more.

Invoke in exciting trekking experience to Matheran. Get picked up from your respective pickup points and start your tour. Reach Dasturi, have your tea and snack, and trek towards sunset point. Witness the beauty of the place and then trek back to Matheran. Then you can explore the city as well and have your dinner. After exploring the city, walk towards Sunrise point, set up your tents, enjoy a bonfire, and have rest. The next day, wake up to a beautiful sunrise, pack your bags, and go back to Dasturi. Catch the jeep to Neral, have your breakfast and tea, and leave towards home with a promise to meet again.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    01:00 pm - Arrive at your respective pickup points

    04:15 pm - Reach Dasturi Naka, have Tea & evening snacks and trek towards Sunset point

    05:30 pm - Reach Sunset point and explore the view until the sun sets

    06:30 pm - Leave for Matheran station

    07:30 pm - Reach Matheran station and participants can go for shopping (optional)

    09:00 pm - Have dinner (Veg/Non-Veg) and rest at the station

    12:00 am - Leave for Sunrise point

  • Day 2 -

    02:30 am - Reach Sunrise point, set up tents, and enjoy the winter with bonfire) / can go asleep.

    06:15 am - Wake up and explore the view with the beautiful sunrise.

    07:30 am - Windup and leave for Dasturi Naka

    08:15 am - Reach Dasturi Naka and catch the cab for Neral.

    09:00 am - Reach Neral, have morning Tea/Coffee and breakfast and its time to say goodbye
