Neral To Matheran Trek Overview

A cosy little hill station, Matheran Standing at an elevation of 2600 feet above sea level is calling you for an adventurous trekking activity from Pune. Nestled amidst the Sahyadri range on the Western Ghats, the destination is one of the best destinations to go for a trek. Scenic beauty all around and incredible views will make the experience an unforgetful one. The camping experience with trekking is an activity that will allow you to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life and relax in calm.


Stay in that you set up at the sunset point. The tents are spacious enough to help you find comfort. For extreme comfortability, the tents are provided with mattresses, pillows, and blankets. The stay in tents is the best option here as you will be able to gaze the beauty of nature all around and a million stars in the sky. Each tent is shared by two to three people depending upon the availability. There are common washrooms featured at the site that are clean and hygienic.

Trekking to the sunrise point and setting up the tents here is a truly exciting way to make the most of the trip. View the mesmerising sunrise from the top and relish the nature displaying the best version to you. How to reach Neral Matheran Trek Starting Point: 
The starting point of this trek is Neral Station which is 75Km away from Mumbai and 114Km from Pune. Travellers can board on any train departing from their respective city toward Neral as per the pickup timings.

Note:
Infants under the age of 5 years can join for free.
Minimum 2 people are required to book the package.

Neral To Matheran Trek Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Neral To Matheran Trek

    03:00 pm- Arrive Neral Station Catch-up jeep

    04:15 pm - Reach Dasturi Naka, have Tea & evening snacks and trek towards Sunset point

    05:30 pm - Reach Sunset point and explore the view till the sun sets

    06:30 pm - Leave for Materan station

    07:30 pm - Reach Matheran station and participants can go for shopping (optional)

    09:00 pm - Have dinner (Veg/Non Veg) and rest at station

    12:00 am - Leave for Sunrise point

    02:30 am - Reach Sunrise point, set up tents and enjoy the winter with bonfire) / can go asleep.

  • Day 2 - Neral To Matheran Trek

    06:15 am - Wake up and explore the view with the beautiful sunrise.

    07:30 am -Windup and leave for Dasturi naka

    08:15 am - Reach Dasturi naka and catch the cab for Neral.

    09:00 am – Reach Neral, have morning Tea/Coffee and breakfast and catch the next train home

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
