Surrounded by tall pines and the
greenery all around, this stay is situated on top of the Durpindara Mountain and offers a beautiful view of the Kangchenjunga range with the view of the Relli, Kapher, Deolo as well as Labha valleys surrounding it. Built in the 1930s, the stay is a large two-storeyed colonial architecture building complete with an exterior built of stone and ivy-covered walls that gives the building just the perfect setting for any movie-maker to fall in love with. The stay offers 6 beautifully curated rooms with attached washrooms and modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
The stay is situated on the sixteenth-acre estate on the Durpindara mountain top which has a lot to offer to an outdoor enthusiast. Durpin means binoculars in Nepali. Go on a guided walk of Durpin Dara Hill, which offers a panoramic mountain view of snow-covered Himalayan peaks especially Mt. Kanchenjunga. One can also see the "Shiv Statue" on top of a distant mountain situated at Siddhesvara Dham in Namchi in Sikkim with a pair of binoculars. Atop the hill sits the Zang Dhok Palri monastery, which was consecrated by the Dalai Lama in 1976. The view from this monastery is excellent as the entire valley can be seen on a clear day.
In the estate, the compound has a beautiful garden both at the front and back of the house where guests can take a nature walk or just relax under the trees. Later, enjoy freshly prepared meals here which are not only delicious but are also authentic to the region.
