About the Activity:

  • How about walking under the moonlight amidst a beautiful region? Sounds exciting, isn't it? 
  • Then pause thinking and check this package out of 2 day camping and trekking in Kothaligad, in Raigad region. 
  • Join to enjoy the impressive beauty of the huge Sahyadris, walk and embrace the night wind rustling the hills and the tree cover around. Find the mountain region shining explicitly.
  • Meet your team mates at Karjat at night around 08:30 and start your journey to the base village. You will reach the base village by 09:30 pm. Head out to enjoy the moonlit night views.
  • Bhairo Caves would be a surprise you encounter on the trekking expedition to the pinnacle next morning, enjoy the views of funnel fort at the top and other famous forts in the region like Bhimashankar, Dhak, Siddhagad and Rajmachi.
  • Conclude the tour by evening and return to Mumbai.
  • The package includes food, accommodation in homestay and transportation during the trip.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Arrive at the base village

    Around 08:30 PM, meet your guides and team mates and then begin the journey to the base village.

    Around 09:30, you will reach the base village. Start ascending under the splendid moonlight.

    Come to the homestay by 11:00 PM and stay overnight there. 

  • Day 2 -

    Around 07:00 am, get a wake up call and then freshen up before you will have breakfast.

    By 08:00 am, start your trekking to the pinnacle.

    The Bhairo caves would be found en route which can accommodate 30 to 40 people at a time.

    Continue walking to the pinnacle and after your reach the top, start exploring the water cisterns and enjoy the views of the forts in the Sahyadris seen at a distance.

    Later, by 11:00 am, start heading back to the village for lunch.

    After one hour of trekking, you will reach the village, take rest and freshen up.

    Post lunch, start descending to the base.

    Once you reach the base, board your vehicle for the return journey to Karjat.

    Around 04:00 pm, you will reach Karjat where you can catch the train to Mumbai.

    The trip ends when you reach CST by 06:00 pm.
