Manali – Leh Motorbike Expedition 2023

Itinerary

• Day 1 - Delhi-Manali (560 km/12 hrs)

  Start your trip from Delhi to Manali by evening and take an overnight bus journey so that you will reach Manali in the morning, next day.

• Day 2 - Arrive Manali and Manali-city tour

  Meet your guide and tour representatives and then get transferred to the hotel once you reach Manali.

  Have breakfast at the hotel and start a motorbike ride around the locality.

  After exploring Manali with your guide, return to the hotel and stay overnight there.

• Day 3 - Manali-Rohtang Pass-Jispa (140 kms/8 hrs)

  In the morning, post breakfast, begin the bike ride toward Jispa.

  Ride past the beautiful Kothi, Beas Nalla, Marhi and Rohtang Pass at 3980 meters height.

  Also cross the reminiscent Himalayan villages like Koksar, Sissu, Gondla and Tandi.

  Upon arrival, check-in to your camps and stay overnight there.

• Day 4 - Jispa-Baralacha Pass-Sarchu (100 kms/5 hrs)

  Have an early breakfast and start riding toward Sarchu. En route, cross Jispa, Darcha Patsao, Zingzing bar and also Baralachala Pass (4892m) which is one of the most popular passes on the way to Leh.  

  The two most beautiful lakes, Deepak and Suraj Tal will fill the gaps of beauty and also you will get many chances to cross numerous streams.

  Once you reach Sarchu, check-in to you camps and relax.

• Day 5 - Sarchu-Leh (261 km/10 hrs)

  Start from Sarchu to Leh in the morning and cross over Naki La, the pass located at an altitude of 4800 meters.

  Also, cross Lachang La, Tanglang La and Pang en route.

  Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and have dinner. Post this, stay overnight at your hotel.

• Day 6 - Leh-Khardung La Pass- Nubra valley

  In the morning after breakfast, start riding to Nubra Valley through Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world.

  After crossing the pass, you will reach Khalsar and then continue to reach Nubra Valley.

  Ride along the Shayok river till you join the road of khardong la and by turning right you will move towards Hunder.

  After arriving in Hunder, you are free to explore the delicate valleys around and visit the villages nearby like Deskit, Hunder Village etc.

  Enjoy a double humped Bactrian camel Safari on the sand dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village.

  Later, come to your stay at Hunder and relax.

• Day 7 - Nubra Valley-Leh (189 km/ 7-8 hrs)

  Have breakfast early and then proceed to Leh.

  Spend time in Leh town and visit the nearby attractions including Leh Palace.

• Day 8 - Leh-Pangong Lake (160 km)

  In the morning, begin your ride to Pangong Lake, the high altitude lake which has the rare phenomenon of changing colours many times a day.

  Cross Changla Pass at a height of 17,380 ft and reach the lake. It is the largest brackish water lake in Asia and is one of the best attractions of Ladakh.

  After enjoying the beauty of the lake, return to Leh and stay overnight at your hotel.

• Day 9 - Leh-Tsokar  

  Post breakfast, start riding through Manali Leh Highway and cross Tanglang La Pass.

  Then you will reach to see a beautiful lake called Tso Kar.

  An awesome blend of stark mountain, gorgeous landscape, occasional sightings of the nomadic people and their herds of yaks and goats are common throughout the route.

  As you reach Tso Kar, check-in to your accommodation and stay overnight.

• Day 10 - Tsokar-Jispa  

  Post breakfast, proceed to Jispa through the same route.

  By evening you will reach Jispa and stay overnight there.

• Day 11 - Jispa-Manali

  Continue your ride from Jispa to Manali and cross Keylong and Rohtang Pass en route.

  The bike safari will end in Manali. After refreshing, board your bus to Delhi from Manali.

  Enjoy an overnight journey.

• Day 12 - Arrive in Delhi

  In the morning, arrive in Delhi and wind up the trail.
