Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, Jeep safari
After arriving in Kochi Airport/Railway Station, you will be driven towards Thattekad. As soon as you arrive in Thattekad, check-in into the hotel and after relaxing for a while, you will be taken to the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Located on the banks of the Periyar Lake, this sanctuary is the home to more than 250 species of rare and exotic birds. Crimson-throated Barbet, Sunbird and Fairy Blue Bird are some of the most exotic species of this sanctuary; you can also opt to visit Elephant Training Centre or undertake a delightful Jeep Safari. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Sunset View, Vembanad Lake
Post today’s breakfast, a 4 hours’ drive will take you to Kumarakom. With your arrival, you will be checked-in into the hotel. Hereafter, you can visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Spot some of the most vibrant and playful birds in this sanctuary. In the evening, you can witness the mesmeric views of the sunset over the Vembanad Lake and return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, after breakfast, you will be driven to Alleppey, the Backwater Capital of India. On arrival in Alleppey, check-in into one of the fascinating and luxurious houseboats. Cruise the backwaters and explore the prismatic beauty of God’s Own Country at its best. Visit the lush paddy fields, rustic hamlets, lakes, canals and come close to the pristine nature of Alleppey. The day will conclude with the alluring sunset view from over the houseboat; overnight stay and dinner in the houseboat.
