Visit Mattanchery synagogue, Spice market, Dutch palace, Watch classical art performance at Greenix Theatre
Spend an entire day in the eclectic land of Cochin. Post breakfast, go on a sightseeing car tour or walking tour through the ancient trails of Cochin. Visit to Mattancherry synagogue. Built in the year 1568, it is adorned by Chinese hand painted tiles and displays many valuables such as the scrolls of Old Testament written in Hebrew, gold and silver crowns gifted by the Raja and ornate glass chandeliers. After this, you can shop by the famous spice market and visit Dutch palace that features Hindu temple art.
Come evening and you can watch the riveting classical art performances at Greenix Theatre. Get entranced by the scintillating acts of Kathakali, Mohiniattam, Kalaripayattu (Martial Arts), Theyyam, Koodiyattam, Ottanthullal, etc. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Visit CSI Church & Tea Museum
After breakfast, drive to verdant Munnar. Visit the CSI Church in Munnar. Also known as Christ Church, it is an important landmark of the colonial British era. Post this, tour the Tea Museum. It displays photographs and machineries that have been responsible for the boom of the tea industry here. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Echo point, Spot Nilgiri Thars at Rajamalai National Park
Post breakfast, spend the day with local sightseeing, This includes visits to Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, a pristine water body where you can undertake boating. Also enjoy the Echo point. Afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai were you can get a glimpse of the rarest species of mountain goat, Nilgiri Thars. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Village and farm visits, Tour tea garden and spice garden
Post breakfast, head to Munnar. En route, tour through midland Kerala where you get an insight into the village and farm life. Unlike any of the villages in the world, the ones in Kerala has people living in enclosed farms rather than in clusters. Interact with the folk people and revel in the farms that bear bananas, spices, tropical fruits and plantations. The marsh land here is used for rice. Check in to a hotel in Munnar. Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Lake bamboo rafting
Today morning, our representatives will guide you to Thekkady. Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The highlight of this place being it is the only sanctuary in India, which permits wildlife site-seeing from the pristine lake. For a surreal experience, take on the rustic bamboo rafting at the Periyar Lake that will tour through the bountiful forests. Here you can witness wildlife in their natural habitats. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Adventure trail through Periyar Tiger Reserve
Today is an exciting day. Go on an adventure trail through the captivating Periyar Tiger Reserve. Depending upon the route chosen you would cover 20 to 35 kms of trekking distance. Here, you will be welcomed by gigantic overarching trees and get to spot indigenous wildlife such as Nilgiri langur, giant squirrel, elephant and if lucky a tiger. Also, tread through lush hills and valleys where various tropical plants grow. Enroute vegetarian meals will be prepared and served and country tents will be pitched for holing up in the night. Camp for the night.
Visit to Kumarakom backwaters
After breakfast, trek back to the foothills. Post that, drive to Kumarakom, the famous backwater capital of India. For the rest of the day, get rejuvenated and take in the breath-taking sights that nature provides here. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
House boating at Alleppey, Visit Chambakulam Church
Post breakfast, head to the picturesque Alleppey that is famous for its luxurious houseboats. Once in Allepey, check in to these quaint houseboats and explore the mesmerising sights of the emerald backwaters. Experience tranquillity on a cruise that lasts for twenty hours.
