Hardly found anywhere in History, Irshalgad may have been under the Maratha rule when Shivaji Maharaj captured the regions of Kalyan and Bhiwandi. The Irshalgad Fort has been visited by very few history lovers and is a favourite for trekkers, adventurers, and nature photographers as well.

Chowk-Irshalwadi. Irshalgad pinnacle is accessible by a moderate 2-3-hour trek for the 3.5-km distance. The ascent from the base village to the top of the fort is a zigzag path. Pace yourself on this path and enjoy matchless views over the Morbe reservoir to your right. The trek to Irshalgad fort would be a wonderful experience for beginners.
