Nestled in the heart of Shillong, a restored 60-year-old home bears all the resemblance of a traditionally styled ‘Assam type’ structure. Built-in 1950 along the Umshyrpi River, the cottage is distinctively made with ‘Assam type’, as the wooden panels that frame young dried bamboo (ikra) which is covered with surkki (a combination of sand and lime), an excellent mixture that can repel moisture effectively. Further, the Stay features 5 well-appointed en suite rooms with all modern amenities like 22” LCD TVs with DTH connection in each room, Electric Kettle and freshly baked cookies, a comfortable and large double bed, and a laptop-friendly space. Further, the stay features a Private Garden space for reading and recreation which has separate seating arrangements. Moreover, each room has a large window that gives impeccable vires of garden around it.

Stay provides guided trekking to Laitlum Grand Canyon, perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong. Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. There is a rocky trail to Laitlum as it is a trekker’s paradise. The Laitlum Canyon is known for the place where the earth Ends!'

Shillong has a lot to offer, it is one of the most unexplored and beautiful cities of Meghalaya. One can visit the famous attractions like Elephant Waterfalls, Shillong peak, Don Bosco Museum, etc.
Further one can even stroll in the market of Shillong especially the Police Bazaar, the cafes at police bazaar are amazing and provides lip-smacking food, one can try the local dishes.
