About the Destination:

Uttarakhand, previously known ‘Uttaranchal’, the home to scenic meadows, towering peaks, alluring rivers and several sacred pilgrimages. Tucked away in this beautiful Indian state is the captivating Valley of Flowers.

Located around 3,352-3,658m above the sea level, this picturesque valley is home to several rare and exotic species of flowers. With the complete intervention of the Mother Nature, this valley in the Pushpawati vicinity blooms blissful during the flowering season and turns into a true delight for the visitors. It was declared as a National Park in 1982 and is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.

About the Departure with Details:

The Valley of Flowers Hemkund Sahib trek will takes you through some exciting and challenging trails in Uttarakhand. A visit to the Valley of Flowers is a must because in summer when the flowers bloom with their full glory! While the roads leading to it are not in the best of shape, the journey is well worth it. This apart, the other locations are quite spectacular too. You will truly feel like you are in paradise.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Journey from Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh

    Arrival in Rishikesh

    Report at New Delhi railway station at around 1145AM. From here, embark on a transfer to Rishikesh through the holy city of Haridwar. Arriving in Rishikesh, check-in into a local hotel for an overnight stay. 

  • Day 2 - Drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath (260km/8 Hours)

    visit Deoprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag

    In the morning, you will be driven to Joshimath. En route, you can visit Deoprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag. On arrival in Joshimath, check-in into a hotel and retire for the day.

  • Day 3 - Drive from Joshimath to Govind Ghat (22km), Trek from Govind Ghat to Ghangaria (3,000m)

    10km/5 Hours Trek,

    Following a 22km drive to Govindghat, today you will be starting with your trekking expedition to Ghangaria.  Enjoy trekking through the pine groves, winding trails and finally reach Ghangaria after 5 hours; overnight stay will be in a tourist lodge.

  • Day 4 - Trek from Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria

    7km/4 Hours Trek (each side), Keylong or Jispa

      Today will be most fascinating day of this trek as you will be experiencing Valley of Flowers trek! After having breakfast in the Ghangaria camp, start hiking towards this pictorial valley and discover the rare and exotic species of flowers within it. After spending some pleasant and delightful moment amidst the flowers, trek back to the Ghangaria; overnight stay in camp.

  • Day 5 - Trek from Ghangaria – Hemkund – Ghangaria 

    12 km/6 Hours Trek (each side), Hemkhund Sahib, Brahma Kamal

    Begin the day with an early morning trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib. You can also catch the glimpses of the Brahma Kamal and other exotic species of flowers on the Hemkund Sahib trek along with rare and endangered birds. Returning to Ghangaria, retire in the camps.

  • Day 6 - Trek from Ghangaria to Govindghat, Drive from Govindghat to Badrinath

    13km Trek, Lakes, Temples, Origin of Saraswati River

    Post breakfast in the campsite, embark on a back trek to Govind Ghat, from where you will be driven to Badrinath. Along the way, you will get a chance to visit lakes and temples as well as the origin of the Saraswati River; overnight stay at a hotel in Badrinath.

  • Day 7 - Drive from Badrinath to Kothi

    Buffer Day

    This day will be treated as a day of rest or buffer day. Since the tour is conducted during the monsoons, one might encounter landslides which can disrupt the trek; the day can be spent in personal pursuits.

  • Day 8 - Drive from Kothi to Dehradoon

    Local Sightseeing, Shopping

    Get an early morning start to the day and take a drive to Dehradoon. Arriving in the town, enjoy some free time and get indulged in local sightseeing or shopping followed by overnight stay.

  • Day 9 - Journey from Dehradoon to Delhi 

     Hemkund Sahib Trekking Tour Ends Here

    Take an early morning train (0500AM) to Delhi and reach the capital by around 1145AM. Arriving in Delhi, continue with your onward journey to home.
