About the Activity:

  • In the regal city of Jaipur, there is a beautiful place called Sanganer, 13 km from the city. A prominent tourist destination in Rajasthan now.
  • Here is a half day tour to have the enhanced glimpses of the most beautiful temple in Sanganer, Shri Digamber Jain temple. 
  • Built in various phases with sky-high shikharas (spires), the temple remarkably displays the artistic talents of ancient architectures. 
  • The last phase was probably built in  the 10th century. The beautiful nij-mandir (inner temple) is a stone shrine with three pinnacles. '
  • An idol of Parshwanath with 7 serpent hoods is installed at the centre. One can notice the numerous carvings of lotuses, creepers and elephants pouring water from pitchers held in their trunks. 
  • But the main idol is that of Adinath, installed in the shrine behind this.
  • To be a part of this tour, you would be picked up from your hotel in Jaipur around 09:00 am, proceed to visit the 10th century Jain Temple, Handicraft Paper and Block printing industries.
  • Return to the hotel by 13:00 to 14: 00 hours and conclude your half day tour.
