About Gua Tempurung Cave:
One of the most popular caves of Malaysia, the Tempurung Cave in the state of Gopeng, Perak is of tourist interest and is being loved by spelunkers for several years. This 3km long cave happens to be the longest in the peninsula of Malaysia.
A part of the cave has been showcased to the tourists by creating walkways, lighting up the rocks in creative ways and organising cave tours of different length and intensity. This fine river cave runs along the hills and has a fabulous array of stalactites and stalagmites to enthuse the cave enthusiasts.
The limestone cave has a 2km long tunnel which runs from the east to the west under the limestone hills. Believed to have existed before 8000Bc, the cave has 5 large domes resembling coconut shells.

Gua Tempurung is a popular cave located in Gopeng, Malaysia. It is well-known for its splendid rock formation and huge chambers.
The cave also comprises a developed part with light installations and handrails ideal for kids and young visitors.
Gua Tempurung Cave is 30-minutes drive away from the Ipoh town. If you want to get there from Ipoh, you can either take a cab or avail e-hailing services.
The scheduled meetup time for the morning and afternoon shift is 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM respectively.
You are supposed to reach the meetup point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
If you want to head towards Ipoh for Gua Tempurung cave exploration, plan your visit in January and February months.
It is the time when the city experiences moderately hot temperature and mediocre rainfall. If you want to avoid the bustling crowd, November is an ideal month to visit Gua Tempurung.
There are four package options available for Gua Tempurung cave tour which are divided into the wet and dry tour. The stage-one tour, Golden Flowstone is a 40-minutes long dry tour which is inclusive of pickup and drop facility, insurance coverage, certified equipment, English speaking guide, and light meal.
The stage-two dry tour lasts for 1 hour 45 minutes and covers the same facilities as the stage-1 tour. Stage-3 and stage-4 are wet tours which last for 2.5 and 3.5 hours respectively.
