About the Penang Glass Museum:
Head towards the Penang Glass Museum, which is the first of its kind place in Malaysia. This place is home to some unique elements and the famous batik motif glass painting, which also finds a mention in the book of records. Be greeted by the Avenue of stars, which is a long corridor of geometrical mirrors, taking you in a world of seamless reflections and spaces. Your eyes will also be greeted by a number of decorations, which have been made by trained and skilled artisans.

- Monday-Friday: 9:30am-6:00pm
- Saturday: 9:30am-5:00pm

The Penang Glass Museum is located at 6, Jalan Burma, George Town, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang.
From Georgetown, the museum is 2 minutes away by car and From the Komtar building, the museum is a 4-minute walk via the Lebuh Tek Soon and Jalan Penang road.
The Glass Museum in Penang is the first ever glass museum in Malaysia which has the longest Batik motif done in glass. One will be in awe witnessing the different displays done in glass, skilfully made decorations made from recycled glass pieces.
You will be greeted by an endless mirrored universe along the Avenue of Stars. Take creative shots in the kaleidoscope-like mirrors and the fluorescent "forest" that gives the illusion of a beautifully lit landscape. Participate in an interesting glass crafting class and take home your very own creation with pride.
A trip to the Glass Museum package doesn’t include pick up and drops. One has to arrange his/her own commutation till the venue.
The package includes Admission ticket to the museum, glass crafting classes and a personalized souvenir to carry back home.
The e-voucher or a printed version of the booking can be produced at the time of entry at the registration counter.
The Glass Museum Penang has several glass paintings which have earned several awards and accolades not only from the Malaysian Government but also from several international organizations. The main attraction of the museum is the Avenue of stars which is a collation of geometric mirrors along a corridor and looks like a never-ending alley of reflection and spaces.
Yet another stunning display is the fluorescent forest which resembles and creates an illusion of a beautifully adorned and lit up landscape. The glass paintings are eye-catching and attractive to visitors of every age group.
Glass paintings using different techniques like sandblasting, fusing and sand glass overlay are all on display. There is also an opportunity to learn the various techniques of glass painting hands on at the very site guided by skilled artisans.
The museum allows visitors to carry a camera and click memories to reminisce precious and creative time spent at the glass museum.
Trained artisans and an in-house staff of the glass museum can help you navigate the museum and help explain to you the various techniques used in the displays. They can also assist you to enroll in a workshop and creating DIY glass art of your choice out of the many techniques you would want to choose from.
The child age ticket limit and cost is as follows:
- Children under the age of 2 years are allowed free entry.
- Children between the age group of 3-12 years will be charged for child tickets at the rate of Rs.167/- for locals and Rs.219/- for foreigners per head.
The glass museum does offer an opportunity to learn glass painting using different techniques. Sandblasting, fusing and sand glass overlay are a few of the techniques used to create souvenirs and mementos to carry back home. The different workshops are very interesting and can help participants of every age group to be creatively engrossed for long.
