Overview

Located near Bhimashankar, Borgiri is a famous green stretch in the Sahydaris and is famous for the green vistas that spread around the area. Also famous for the famous fireflies event that takes place in the summer, Borgiri is a well-known getaway to go in search of fireflies in the area. The creatures come about in the summers in great numbers in these areas. The entire place looks like as if decorated by small lights. 
The trek expedition starts and ends in Pune with the firefly sightseeing taking place in Borgiri. 
About the activity:
- Start from the pickup point in Pune and get transferred to Borgiri. After tea and snacks, you will set out in the search for fireflies.
- Experience local food in dinner and enjoy the local taste.
- Post dinner, you will again indulge in a firefly sightseeing in the wild.
- A short while after midnight, you will be transferred back to Pune.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Fireflies Trek from Pune

    Arrive at the pickup point in Pune by 2 in the afternoon. You will be transferred to Borgiri from here

    After arrival in the village, you will be served your tea and snacks.

    This will be followed by the first sightseeing for the fireflies in the wild.

    At around 8:30 PM, you will return back to the village for your dinner, where you will enjoy local dishes and cuisine

    Post dinner, the adventure will continue as you look for more fireflies.

    A little past midnight, the trek will come to an end and you will get transferred to Pune
