About the Activity
You will be received at the Noi Bai International Airport and driven to the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi.
Drive through 28 old streets of Hanoi, making stops at the Dong Xuan Market, Bach Ma Temple, Hang Gai Street, King Ly Thai To statue, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Ngoc Son Temple.
Check in to your hotel for a hearty meal that’ll be waiting for you.
In the early hours of the evening, warm up and prepare for a bicycling tour around West Lake.
Stop off at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda of North Vietnam that was founded 1,400 years ago, during the Kind Ly Nam De Empire.
Proceed to Phu Tay Ho Temple to worship one of the four Mother Goddesses.
Visit a lotus pond just in time for the sunset.
Return to your hotel and, after a short break, head towards Sen Tay Ho, for a buffet dinner.
NOTE: Please remember that the hotel’s check-in time is 12:00 noon, so the programme will be adjusted depending on your arrival time.
You leave the hotel at around 5:00am, so a packed breakfast will be prepared for you.
Embark on a 300km drive through the mountain passes of the north-west provinces and head towards Mu Cang Chai.
After around 5 hours of driving, you will reach your destination, Tu Le, which is situated at the foot of the Khau Pa Pass.
Proceed to the highest point on the Khau Pha Pass, where you will begin your paragliding adventure.
Glide over the terraced paddy fields for a great view of the landscape.
Drive back to your hostel at Tu Le, break for dinner at a local restaurant, and call it a night.
NOTE: There are no standard hotels available in Tu Le, since it is quite remote. You will stay at the best possible guesthouse available. In case wind conditions do not permit safe paragliding in the afternoon, the activity will be shifted to the next morning.
After breakfast, walk through the town and take in a slice of the local life.
Continue on your journey back to Mai Chau Valley through Moc Chau village, known for some of the best tea in Vietnam.
Arrive at Mai Chau in the afternoon and check into your lodge.
After lunch, relax by the pool.
Have dinner at a local restaurant and witness a traditional dance performance by the locals over a glass of "Ruou Can", which is a local wine made of rice.
Spend the night at Mai Chau.
Wake up at the crack of dawn and take time to explore your surroundings.
After breakfast, warm up and prepare for your cycling adventure.
Bike through the villages of Na Thia, Pom Coong, Lac, and Chieng Chau.
Return to the Mai Chau Ecolodge, relax, and rejuvenate your body for another day of cycling.
After breakfast, take a short ride along the Ma River before you get off the main road and cycle along mountain tracks passing through rainforests and streams.
After around 20km of cycling, you will reach the peaceful hill village of Kho Muong.
Take a break here for lunch at a local house and, if time permits, join the farmers and help out with cultivation and buffalo herding, in their fields.
Drive to Ninh Binh late in the afternoon and, upon arrival, check-in at the Emeralda Resort.
Enjoy a healthy dinner at the resort’s organic restaurant and spend the night at Ninh Binh.
After breakfast, set out on a 21km ride on your cycle towards Hoa Lu.
Upon arrival at Hoa Lu, visit two ancient sites: the Temple Of Dinh Tien Hoang and the Temple Of Le Dai Hanh. You can choose to climb a peak nearby, for a great view of the landscape.
Take a short break, snack on fruits, and continue pedalling to Tam Coc passing through village, rice fields, and rocky outcrops.
Once you arrive, have lunch at a local restaurant, and embark on a two-hour boat trip along the Hoang Long River.
Halfway through, stop and take a short walk to the Thai Vi Temple of the Tran Dynasty.
Disembark in the afternoon and drive back to Hanoi for dinner.
From Hanoi, head east towards Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Embark on a cruise at the bay and pass several limestone and dolomite formations, and karst grottoes.
Enjoy a seafood lunch on board and stop by the Surprising Grotto.
Take a dip and swim around or go kayaking and get close to floating villages and islets.
Return to the boat, relax through the evening, and spend the night on board.
Wake up in time for the sunrise through the strange rock formations or choose to indulge in an optional session in Tai Chi.
Continue to cruise through the bay, passing by Sail Island, Fisherman’s Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, and Turtle Islet.
Begin your day with a drive along the coastline of Cat Ba Island. A 20-minute road trip through the lush green hills of Lien Minh Village will lead you to Butterfly Valley.
Arrive at Butterfly Valley and join a local villager, who will guide you through the jungles and mountains of the Cat Ba National Park.
After the trek, return to Lien Minh Village and visit a local bee-keeper’s handmade bamboo homestead for lunch.
Enjoy a home-cooked Vietnamese spread that is prepared with fresh and locally grown produce.
In the evening, get to the climbing area around the valley’s pastures and put on the UIAA certified climbing gear that will be provided.
Your guides will set up secure top rope systems that will enable you to scale the rocks safely.
You can climb as high as you wish, based on you skill and comfort level. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with sweeping views of the valley.
Return to the town of Cat Ba, have dinner, and spend the night at your hotel.
Spend the morning at ease, before you check out of your hotel and leave for the Gia Luan Pier.
Get on a boat back to Tuan Chau Pier.
For lunch, gorge on a spread of fresh seafood on the boat, while passing through several strangely shaped islands such as the Fighting Cock Islet, Incense Urn Islet, Finger Island, Toad Islet, Dog Islet, and many more.
Disembark and drive back to Hanoi, where a farewell dinner will be waiting for you at the Sen Ly Thai To Restaurant.
After breakfast. check-out of the hotel at 12:00 noon.
You will we transferred to Tan Son Nhat airport for your return journey.
