Nestled amidst lush forests and the large spread of Himalayan Ranges is the pristine Dodital lake; inarguably one of the most beautiful sights in the entire country! Home to the rare species of the Himalayan Trout, this lake is at an altitude of 3,310m above the sea level and finds its origin in the natural springs of the Asi Ganga Rover, a tributary of the Ganges River.
The Darwa Pass, at an elevation of 4,150m takes you to the top of the world. With a challenging Dodital trekking trail that leads to it, this pass tests your endurance and dedication but rewards you with the most stunning and exotic views.

Arrival in Sangam Chati
On the first day of your trip, a pleasant drive from Dehradun will take you to Sangam Chati, the starting point of the Dodital trek. On the way, you will passing through Uttarkashi, and several breaks in between will allow you enough time to enjoy the pristine beauty of the surroundings; lunch will be done within these breaks. Arriving in Sangam Chati, get settled down in overnight camps and retire for the day.
3-4 Hours Trek, Steep Climb, Agoda, Camping
Today is the day, you will begin your trek! After a sumptuous breakfast, head out on a trail that is rather steep and that lasts until you have reached the settlement of Agoda. Once you have made it here, the onward climb will be much more gradual and easier. The way forward will lead you to the village of Bhebra – a route that is studded with tea shacks and lodges. There is a very pretty rivulet and it makes for a stunning landscape; you will camping beside this rivulet.
5-6 Hours Trek, Asi Ganga, Majhi, Dodital Lake
Starting with a post breakfast trek, today you will be ascending through a mixed range of forests above Asi Ganga. Hereafter, you will be trailing through the Gurjar settlements at Mahi and finally enter a valley that leads to Dodital; a small break along this part of the journey will allow you time for lunch and get re-fuelled.
Hereafter, the trek will continue through thick and lush rhododendron, oak, bamboo and pine forests, and will finally take you to the pictorial Dodital Lake. Arriving at the lakeside, retire into the camps and enjoy the pristine ambience of the lake followed by an overnight stay.
6-7 Hours Trek, Darwa Pass, Nanda Devi, Bandarpunch Peak, Swargarohini Peak
Today, the purpose of your trek will be realised! You have the option of staying back at the lakeside and explore its neighbouring regions. Alternatively, you can make your way to the Darwa Pass – a trek that will require stamina, effort and time. An early beginning after breakfast would be ideal as this upward trek requires much time due to its steepness.
The climb from Dhodital is beautiful, lined with rhododendron tress and meadows. The latter and final stage of the trail that leads to the Pass is rather steep, although the same does not last too long. Once you have made it to the very top, you will be rewarded with enchanting views of the Himalayan Range, Gangotri, Nanda Devi, Bandarpunch and Swargarohini peaks; astounding views of Har Ki Dun valley are also included. Post all these, start trekking back to the Dodital campsite for an overnight stay.
4-5 Hours Trek, Downhill Trail
Today, an easy downward trail from Dodital will take you to Bhebra. Enjoy a trail through dense forest and witness the nature at its full glory. Arriving in Bhebra, settle down in the overnight camps.
2-3 Hours Trek, Tour Ends Here
After breakfast in the Bhebra camp, begin with the last leg of Dodital trek; start trekking towards Sangam Chatti through the picturesque village of Agoda. Arriving in Sangam Chatti, take a drive to Dehradun and mark the end of this astounding trek.
