How to Reach for Chamba Trek:
The nearest rail station for Dalhousie is based at Pathankot Cantt. It is well connected by public and private transport.

Chamba Trek Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Dalhousie - Kalatop - Khajjiar - Chamba

    The adventurous trekking activity starts from Talai near Dalhousie.

    Later we start ascending towards Kalatop, a famous wildlife sanctuary area with rich mountain wildlife and dense Deodar forests. You may find the area quite dark due to the presence of a lush green forest.

  • Day 2 - Kalatop - Khajjiar - 12km , 4 - 5 hours trek

    Today, the group will be moving forward towards Khajjiar through the dense forest path and experience the lush greenery. The forests of the location are composed of deodar, oak, and rhododendron. Khajjiar implies to a meadow expanse that engulfed by deodar trees from all sides and is considered as 'Mini Switzerland'.

  • Day 3 - Khajjiar- Chamba.- 11km , 4 hours trek

    We start descending to Chamba and travel through the mesmerizing views of pines, deodars and small villages.

    As we descend more pines start to appear as compared to deodar. View the wide-open valleys and the Pir Panjal range are breathtaking.

    Thereafter you can board a bus/taxi towards Pathankot or Delhi for your return journey.
