Eco friendly, pocket-friendly and offbeat; this combo is one of the best deals on the internet today according to my experience. Great efforts Thrillophilia team.

The best part of this entire trip is that you are not left unattended after the trek to Bijli Mahadev, you then trek to Chansari village which is where the motorable road starts and where our pick up waited for us and dropped us in Kullu. It is one of the money-savor, perfectly curated packages which includes many activities at such a minimal price.

It is a perfect combo of three adventurous activities. Our journey started by reaching the start point of rafting in Kullu at the Beas river and conquered the extreme rapids on a 7 Km long ride. Next, we went to the campsite which was just beside the river and I went jumping and running to the river in sheer excitement and despite the whole rafting ride, I still went in for a dip. It was warm and so relaxing, to bathe in a mountain river is one of my favorite things. Later in the evening, we sat around the bonfire, talking about life and all the learnings and then were served hot dinner which was fresh and tasted good. Next morning we checked out from the camp and left for an hour trek to Bijli Mahadev. We all sat there for some time watching the life unfold in the valley and near the rivers. Such pure beauty.

Bijli Mahadev trek leads you to one of the lesser-known spots in Himachal that is still untouched by the flocks of tourists, unlike other places. It is an hour and a half long trek which is easy yet proves difficult for senior people. It is not a regular Shiva temple but is very quaint and little structure full of stories from the past. The main feature of this place is the marvelous location, you can see the entire valley and the confluence of Beas and Parvati from Bijli Mahadev. It is a sight to behold and one of the reasons that made me do this trip was my religious belief in the power of Shiva. An eco friendly and budget friendly tour totally.

People who believe in ‘Mahadev’ should visit this temple once, it is a hidden gem which has such strong and positive vibe, I wanted to stay more but in a guided tour you always have to move according to the plan and we are mostly time-bound. Liked the experience but would have loved it more if stayed for some more time.

The view from Bijli Mahadev was so great that we literally sat gazing the landscapes for hours until the operator asked us to hurry up as a vehicle was waiting at Chansari village for our pick up. Two days were total bliss with so many activities and fun. I really loved these trips from Thrillophilia because they are so well-planned and always makes you feel as if you have achieved travel experience after every trip.
