Overview

Situated 14 km north of Thanjavur is the fertile village of Nallichery. Home to 400 year old Sri Rajagopala Swami Temple, Nallichery has contributed immensely to Thanjavur’s erstwhile art and architectural pride. Over a guided tour of around 5 hours, visit this simple village, a true representation of Indian culture and heritage. Partake in the daily lives of the locals and embrace their warm-hearted hospitality. 

Around 9 am you’ll drive towards Nallichery Village. After a delightful welcome by the local residents, head for the day’s activities. You’ll visit local farmlands, participate alongside farmers in their daily chores at the fields which includes ploughing, planting, and cultivating. Post that, enjoy lunch in a South Indian restaurant on the way back to Thanjavur.
