About the Activity:
Arrival at Paro and Sightseeing
Arrival in Bhutan at Paro Airport.
Post lunch, visit RinpungDzong (ParoDzong) situated at a commanding height overlooking Paro valley.
Later drive to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan.
Visit General Post Office (GPO), Art School.

Visit to Memorial Chorten
Drive to traditional medicine institute, where medicines are prepared according to ancient practices, and to Lungtenzampa to observe the Royal silver smiths and Bhutanese paper factory at work

Drive to Punakah via Dochu La Pass
After early breakfast drive to Punakha
On the way visit Chimi Lhakhang which was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley
In Punakha, we will visit the Dzong that was built by Shab

Drive to Bumthang via Wangdiphodrang
Visit TongsaDzong, which is a masterpiece of architecture with a maze of courtyards, passageways and 23 temples
Admire scenic views of forests and mountains on the way
Check in to a lodge which is only a ten minute walk from the Dzong
Sightseeing and hiking in Bumthang
This beautiful valley encapsulates a rich culture, Scenic beauty and hundreds of myth’s and legends. People often call “Mini Switzerland”.
The drive from Trongsa to Jakar may only take about two hours but the change in scenery is dramatic.
The hills around Jakar are filled with monasteries dedicated to Padmasambhava who is said to have cured an ailing ruler and introduced Buddhism to the valley.
Bumthang is also home to one of the great Buddhist teachers,
Pemalingpa, to whose descendants the present dynasty traces its origins.
Drive to Gangtey/ Phobjikha valley
Visit to Nyingmapa monastery and Gangtey Gompa Monastery,Gangtey also has a very interesting Nyingmapa monastery, the only one of its kind west of the Black Mountain range.
Overnight in a local guest house or farmhouse.
Please note that this village is not supplied by electricity.
Drive from Gangtey to Thimphu
Visit to the TaschichhoDzong, which serves as the home of the Central Monastic body and houses the main secretariat building, throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.
Visit the Handicrafts Emporium followed by shopping for souvenirs in the shops of Thimphu.
Overnight at Paro.
Arrival in Paro
Excursion to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, one of the most sacred places in Bhutan due to its association with Guru Rinpoche, who is also the founding father of the Bhutanese form of Mahayana Buddhism.
In the evening, take an evening stroll along the main street, and perhaps visit a few handicrafts shops, or take refreshments at a local café or bar. Overnight hotel in Paro.

Today get dropped back to the airport for your final departure.
