Seven days in Turkey allowed Dr. Sandeep and Harprit to experience the country's historic cities, distinctive landscapes, and adventure-filled experiences across Istanbul and Cappadocia. From Ottoman and Byzantine landmarks to a Bosphorus dinner cruise, a day trip to Bursa, and a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, the itinerary brought together several sides of Turkey in one holiday.

The trip also included private airport transfers, comfortable stays, organised sightseeing, and local transportation, allowing the couple to focus on enjoying their time rather than managing the logistics themselves.

For Dr. Sandeep, who has travelled extensively and had previously taken trips with Thrillophilia, the Turkey experience once again stood out for its personalised planning and hassle-free arrangements.

"The most recent trip to Turkey was absolutely amazing," he shared.

Cruising Along the Bosphorus

The journey began with the couple's arrival at Istanbul Airport, where a private sedan transferred them to Metropolitan Taksim, their hotel for the next four nights.

Their first evening introduced them to Istanbul from the water with a three-hour Bosphorus dinner cruise. After being picked up from the hotel, they boarded the cruise to sail along the Bosphorus Strait while taking in Istanbul's illuminated skyline.

The evening included dinner, soft drinks, and live folkloric performances, offering the couple an entertaining introduction to the city before they returned to their hotel.

It was a relaxed beginning to a trip that would soon move into Turkey's history, culture, and landscapes.

Discovering Istanbul's Ottoman and Byzantine Heritage

The second day was dedicated to Istanbul's historic side.

The couple joined a full-day Ottoman and Byzantine relic tour, exploring some of the city's most significant landmarks. The itinerary included the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar, along with lunch during the tour.

From grand religious architecture to the bustling atmosphere of one of Istanbul's most famous markets, the day offered a glimpse into the layers of history that have shaped the city.

With shared transfers and the sightseeing arrangements already organised, the couple could spend the day exploring without having to coordinate transportation between each attraction themselves.

A Day Trip to Bursa

On 21 June, the couple left Istanbul for a full-day excursion to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire.

The day combined historical exploration with Bursa's natural surroundings. They explored the city's landmarks and local markets before heading towards Uludağ Mountain, where they could enjoy the mountain scenery and a cable car ride.

After spending time in Bursa, they returned to Istanbul for another night at Metropolitan Taksim.

The following day was intentionally kept free, giving the couple an opportunity to explore Istanbul at their own pace, relax at the hotel, or choose experiences beyond the scheduled itinerary.

From Istanbul to the Landscapes of Cappadocia

On 23 June, the trip moved from Istanbul to Cappadocia.

After checking out, the couple was transferred by private sedan to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. On arriving at Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport, another private transfer took them to Hera Cave Hotel, where they would spend their final two nights.

The change in scenery was significant. Istanbul's historic streets and urban landscape gave way to Cappadocia's distinctive valleys and rock formations.

After checking in, the rest of the day was available for the couple to relax or explore their surroundings at their own pace.

A Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Cappadocia

The highlight of the Cappadocia leg arrived early on 24 June.

The couple started their day with a hot air balloon experience, taking off at around 5 AM to see Cappadocia's unique landscape from above. The region's distinctive rock formations and valleys made the experience particularly memorable.

Later in the day, the couple switched from a peaceful morning in the sky to an adventure on the ground with an ATV quad ride.

The experience took them through Cappadocia's dramatic terrain, including Love Valley, with the tour planned around the sunset so they could enjoy the changing colours across the landscape.

Together, the two experiences gave the couple very different perspectives on Cappadocia. The first was from above and then while navigating its valleys and trails.

A Hassle-Free Journey From Start to Finish

The couple checked out from Hera Cave Hotel and were transferred by private sedan to Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport. After flying back to Istanbul, they were transferred from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to Istanbul Airport for their onward journey home.

Over seven days, the couple had experienced Istanbul's historic landmarks, sailed along the Bosphorus, explored Bursa, witnessed Cappadocia from a hot air balloon, and ridden ATVs through its valleys.

For Dr. Sandeep, however, the experiences were only part of what made the holiday memorable. He particularly appreciated the way the trip was planned around their preferences.

"The agents are so very nice. They help you so much. They curate everything according to you," he said.

He also highlighted the transportation arranged during the trip, recalling an unexpected upgrade that exceeded his expectations.

"They sent a Maybach, a Mercedes SUV for a pickup for two of us."

The accommodation was another aspect that stood out to him.

"The hotels and the resorts that they gave us [were] absolutely out of this world. Much more than my expectations."

A Turkey Trip Worth Remembering

Having travelled to destinations such as Bali and Phuket with Thrillophilia before, Dr. Sandeep described the Turkey holiday as another experience that lived up to his expectations.

For him, one of the biggest advantages was being able to travel without constantly worrying about the behind-the-scenes arrangements.

"So whenever I book with Thrillophilia, I'm so hassle-free, and all I know is that I have enjoyment in front of me. Nothing to worry about."

The experience was also reflected in Dr. Sandeep's 5-star review shared on a third-party review platform, where he praised the personalised planning, helpful agents, transportation, and quality of the hotels and resorts.

His feedback also reinforced what stood out throughout the journey: a well-organised itinerary can make it easier to enjoy a destination without being weighed down by its logistics.

"I highly recommend Thrillophilia. They're excellent. Their rates are excellent," he said.

From Istanbul's historic landmarks and Bosphorus waters to Bursa's mountain landscapes and Cappadocia's famous hot air balloons, the seven-day journey brought together some of Turkey's most distinctive experiences.

And for Dr. Sandeep and Harprit, having those experiences thoughtfully organised meant they could spend less time worrying about the journey and more time enjoying it.
