Even though no foreign trip is without an initial apprehension, Ashutosh wasn’t worried much. His destination expert, Rahul Tripathi, had already briefed him a day prior concerning all trip aspects; the team had guided him through the visa process, and he had a clear understanding of how his trip was going to look.

The only thing he was worried about was overpacking, but after having all trip logistics sorted for him well in advance, especially with route mapping and transfer schedules, overpacking was something that didn’t really faze him anymore.

Ashutosh's and Pratima’s trip began in mid-November, the perfectly cool and comfortable weather for sightseeing in Britain, and it all started off with a smooth landing in London.

Discovering London's Iconic Landmarks and Hidden Corners

A memorable visit to one of England's most iconic cultural landmarks

Their private vehicle was already waiting at the airport when they landed. Cruising through the streets of London eased them into the rhythm of it, and by the time they reached their hotel, the Park Plaza Victoria, centrally located for an even proximity to transfer hubs and markets, they felt more excited than tired.

The next two days were spent exploring every highlight London had awaiting them. It started off with  a hop-on-hop-off bus tour. This let them set their own pace without having to rush through London’s chaos. This intentional detailing made all the difference in how London greeted their presence.

Their day ended with a sunset cruise along the Thames and a panoramic view of the London cityscape via the London Eye. The entire city lay bare in front of their eyes, the lights twinkling as the sun was about to set, promising them a memory that’s going to be instilled in their minds.

Just when they thought this day could not be topped by any other, the day trip to Warner Bros. Studios and Oxford came along.

Ashutosh had been a diehard fan of Harry Potter for a long time and even had all seven books, each with weathering covers due to being read over and over again. Given a tour of the set of Harry Potter was a dream he didn’t realise he had until Rahul had recommended adding it to their itinerary.

This is what both Ashutosh and Pratima admired about the planning team. They understood what would make their journey special even when they didn’t and made them the focus of the trip instead of just the destination. Knowing that his itinerary was made keeping in mind their needs and preferences, Ashutosh felt at ease because he wasn’t adapting to a generic checklist of destinations but actually relaxing into it while the itinerary was formed around him.

Castles, Cobblestone Streets, and Edinburgh's Timeless Charm

A memorable moment outside Buckingham Palace

Their transfer to Edinburgh began early the next morning, leaving them comfortably settled in the Hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre by the afternoon. The scenic train journey on the way was the highlight of the day for Ashutosh. The sweeping grasslands, the plains, and the greenery with the warm interiors of the train had a level of comfort that didn’t let travel fatigue set in for both Ashutosh and Pratima.

So despite having a leisure day, they decided to explore the city themselves with a casual walk in the evening. The softly lit streets, the quiet yet welcoming markets, and the cold air, which felt comfortable with all the layers they already had on, made time go by fast, leaving them fulfilled and ready for the next day.

The next day had a full-day tour of Edinburgh planned, mostly via a hop-on-hop-off bus tour to ensure that they stay in control of their pace.

The team had pre-booked their bus passes well in advance along with all major entry tickets to attractions on their itinerary. So at no point did they face any hassles or crowds at entry points, which was exactly what the team intended.

After covering Edinburgh Castle, strolling along the Royal Mile, and having a hearty meal with authentic Scottish dishes, it was time to return to the hotel.

Chasing Legends Through the Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness

Seeing how it was the couple’s last day of their trip, their sixth day was kept entirely at leisure for them to be able to enjoy it however they wanted. This deliberate decision was taken keeping in mind the constant movement of the past few days with multiple transfers and the long flight back home.

The team, however, dropped recommendations for Ashutosh in a compiled list which included nearby, yet fulfilling, activities he could opt for. Taking them up on this, Ashutosh opted to focus on London’s green spaces, covering Hampstead Heath and the Botanical Gardens.

Their last day in Edinburgh was brought to an end, with memories that weren’t faltering anytime soon.

The Trip’s End and Thrillophilia’s Management

Being comfortably settled back home, Ashutosh wrote his Europe review on Thrillophilia’s platform, highlighting how special the trip felt for him through careful inclusions and strategic mapping.

“My tour planner Shivani Rai has done all her works on time with perfection. I really appreciate the work she has done. The hotels and transfers they have arranged was up to the mark and satisfactory. I enjoyed a lot during the trip.”

A seamless Europe tour isn’t something that comes together as a coincidence. It’s a direct result of relentless itinerary fine-tuning, route mapping, and coordinating a strong support team who were consistently present for any probable issues the travellers might’ve faced.

But more importantly, the team members who oversee the smooth proceedings of all the personnel involved become responsible for the trip’s outcome. In Ashutosh’s case, that turned out to be perfect with Shivani’s support throughout their trip.
