"Thank you, Sonal, Ishika, Seher and our driver Farhan, for the amazing experience. You all made our trip seamless, and we had fun without worrying about how to navigate around Kashmir. Our family really enjoyed the trip to Kashmir."

– Sanjay Kumar Datwani

For Sanjay and his family, Kashmir was one of those destinations that appealed to everyone in the group.

Some were excited about the famous shikara rides on Dal Lake, while others looked forward to seeing Gulmarg's meadows and riding one of the highest cable cars in the world. The promise of mountain views, peaceful valleys, and a break from city life made Kashmir an easy choice for a family holiday.

Over four days, the family experienced some of the region's most iconic attractions, from the waters of Srinagar to the scenic landscapes of Gulmarg and Pahalgam.

Kashmir Was New, But It Never Felt Complicated

Kashmir had been on the family's travel list for a long time.

The trip began in Srinagar, where tree-lined roads, lakes, and mountain views immediately created a different atmosphere from everyday life back home. There was no rush to start ticking attractions off a list. Simply arriving in the valley and taking in the surroundings felt like the beginning of a proper holiday.

Over the next few days, the family explored some of Kashmir's most popular destinations. Yet the journey never felt hectic. Each destination brought a different experience. Some moments were spent beside the calm waters of Dal Lake, while others were spent driving through valleys surrounded by mountains. That balance is often difficult to achieve on a short holiday, especially when travelling as a family.

The Driver Who Became Part of the Experience

One name appeared prominently in Sanjay's review: Farhan.

While drivers are often mentioned briefly in travel reviews, Farhan clearly left a positive impression on the family.

In a destination like Kashmir, where many travellers are visiting for the first time, a good driver does much more than handle transportation. Long drives become opportunities to learn more about the region, understand local culture, and discover places that might otherwise be missed.

Whether it was helping the family navigate different destinations or simply making the journey comfortable, Farhan played an important role in shaping the overall experience.

For the Datwani family, that support removed much of the uncertainty that can sometimes come with travelling to an unfamiliar destination.

By the end of the trip, he had become an important part of the memories they carried home.

Every Day Brought a Different View

Exploring the beauty of Kashmir, one trail at a time

One of the most enjoyable parts of the trip was how quickly the scenery changed.

In Srinagar, the family experienced the peaceful side of Kashmir. A shikara ride on Dal Lake offered a chance to slow down and appreciate the beauty that has made the city famous for generations. The reflections on the water, the surrounding mountains, and the steady pace of life on the lake created one of those moments that travellers often remember long after a trip ends.

The next day brought a completely different setting.

Gulmarg introduced wide open meadows, mountain landscapes, and the famous gondola ride that attracts visitors from across the country. The family also visited Drung Waterfall, where the rushing water and natural surroundings provided another memorable experience.

Later, in Pahalgam, Kashmir revealed yet another side of itself.

The valleys of Aru, Betaab, and Chandanwari offered dramatic scenery and endless stretches of greenery. The drives between these destinations became experiences of their own, with every turn revealing another postcard-worthy view.

What impressed the family most was how varied the landscapes felt despite being part of the same trip.

Why They Chose Thrillophilia ?

When travellers describe a holiday as seamless, it usually means all the small details worked exactly as they should.

For Sanjay and his family, that was one of the biggest reasons the trip stood out.

The journey was planned by Sonal Pandey from Thrillophilia, while Ishika Daga, Seher, and the support team helped ensure everything remained smooth throughout the trip. Behind the scenes, transfers, accommodations, and coordination were handled so the family could focus entirely on the experience itself.

That level of support became especially valuable in a destination where first-time visitors can easily spend time figuring out routes, timings, and local logistics.

Instead, the family spent their time enjoying Kashmir.

Looking back, Sanjay's review captures the experience perfectly:

"You all made our trip seamless, and we had fun without worrying about how to navigate around Kashmir."

Sometimes, the most successful family holidays are not the ones packed with the most attractions. They are the ones where everything simply works.

For the Datwani family, Kashmir delivered beautiful landscapes, memorable experiences, and precious time together. But perhaps the biggest success of the trip was that they never had to worry about anything except enjoying it.
