Some family holidays begin with a destination.
Others begin with conversations.
Before finalising his Kashmir trip, Kuldeep Yadav spent considerable time understanding the destination, discussing route options, seeking recommendations, and figuring out how to make the most of five days in the valley. Throughout the planning process, the Thrillophilia team remained actively involved, sharing practical insights about Kashmir, helping him shape the itinerary, and guiding him through the details that often make a significant difference during a family vacation.
By the time the journey was confirmed, the excitement had already begun building.
A few weeks later, Kuldeep and his family arrived in Kashmir, ready to explore the valleys, lakes, meadows, and mountain landscapes that have made the region one of India's most loved travel destinations.
Through the Valleys of Pahalgam
The family's introduction to Kashmir came through Pahalgam.
The drive itself offered a glimpse of what awaited ahead. Rivers flowed alongside the roads, mountains framed the horizon, and the scenery grew more spectacular with every passing kilometre.
Once in Pahalgam, the family set out to explore some of the region's most famous attractions. Aru Valley welcomed them with wide open meadows surrounded by towering mountains, while Betaab Valley offered lush greenery and postcard-worthy views at every turn. Chandanwari added another layer to the experience, with winding roads and dramatic landscapes creating some of the most memorable scenes of the trip.
Each stop revealed a different side of Kashmir's beauty.
Some places invited long walks through nature, while others encouraged the family to simply pause and admire the surroundings. Together, they created the perfect beginning to a journey that would continue unfolding across the valley.
Srinagar, Gulmarg, and the Kashmir Everyone Dreams About
From Pahalgam, the journey continued towards Srinagar.
The city brought a completely different atmosphere, combining natural beauty with cultural charm. The Mughal Gardens added colour and history to the itinerary, while the famous Shikara ride on Dal Lake delivered one of the experiences that travellers often associate with Kashmir long before they arrive.
As the boat moved gently across the water, the family watched life unfold around the lake. Houseboats reflected on the calm surface, distant mountains framed the skyline, and the pace of the city seemed to slow with every passing minute.
The following day brought another highlight.
Gulmarg's sweeping landscapes and mountain views created an entirely different setting from Srinagar. The gondola ride quickly became one of the most exciting experiences of the trip, lifting the family high above the valley and revealing breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
From there, the journey continued to Sonmarg, where rolling meadows, glacier viewpoints, and scenic mountain trails showcased yet another side of Kashmir. The horse ride towards Thajiwas Glacier offered stunning views throughout the route, making the excursion one of the most memorable days of the itinerary.
The final evening on a traditional houseboat brought the trip together beautifully. Surrounded by the peaceful waters of Dal Lake, the family enjoyed a setting that felt uniquely Kashmiri and perfectly suited to the closing chapter of the journey.
Why Kuldeep Recommends Thrillophilia for Kashmir
For Kuldeep, the experience extended far beyond sightseeing.
The planning process, local guidance, accommodations, transportation, and continuous support all contributed to the overall journey. Every stage of the trip felt thoughtfully organised, allowing the family to focus entirely on enjoying Kashmir.
As he shared in his review:
"It was a really pleasant experience with Thrillophilia, more than expected in real meaning. Their sales team supported me at every point in time whenever I needed advice. They provided very good advice about the trip and even about other relevant information about Kashmir. They have good knowledge and experience. The driver was good, the hotels are really good, and the best part is Mam Nishita Daga. She is truly an asset to Thrillophilia. A very polite and soft-spoken lady who gave me a complete brief and always took feedback about my trip. In the true world, I always recommend that everybody choose Thrillophilia."
Kuldeep also appreciated the comfort of the hotels throughout the journey and strongly recommends choosing accommodations with meals while travelling through Kashmir, something his family found especially convenient during their stay.
Planned by Rojee Kumari and supported throughout by Ishika Daga, the trip delivered exactly the kind of family holiday Kuldeep had hoped for when he first began exploring Kashmir as a destination.
From the valleys of Pahalgam and the Gondola rides of Gulmarg to the Shikara experience on Dal Lake and the charm of a traditional houseboat stay, every day brought a new experience. Combined with knowledgeable guidance, attentive support, and smooth arrangements throughout the journey, the trip left the family with memories they continue to cherish long after returning home.
