For Shivakant R Prajapati and his wife, their Bali honeymoon brought together the island’s green interiors, dramatic coastlines, offshore adventures and a few experiences designed especially for two. Across seven days, they moved from the volcanic landscapes around Kintamani and the rice terraces of Ubud to the cliffs of Nusa Penida and Uluwatu, before slowing things down with a candlelight dinner beside the sea.

Bali’s Green Heart Was Their First Look at the Island

Their first full day took them into Bali’s lush interior, beginning around Kintamani and the volcanic landscape surrounding Mount Batur. The route continued through a coffee plantation before reaching Tegenungan Waterfall, where water cascades through a tropical setting surrounded by greenery.

They then headed towards the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces, where layered rice fields stretch across the hills around Ubud. The day ended on a more playful note with the Bali Jungle Swing, including swings and nests overlooking the surrounding landscape. A local lunch completed their first major outing in Bali.

Nusa Penida Took Them to Bali’s Wild Side

The honeymoon then moved offshore with a private tour of Nusa Penida, one of Bali’s most dramatic neighbouring islands. The western side is known for steep limestone cliffs and striking coastal formations, and the couple visited several of its signature landmarks.

At Kelingking Beach, the famous T-Rex-shaped headland rises dramatically above the turquoise sea. They continued to Angel’s Billabong and Broken Bay, followed by Bubu Beach, where they could spend time by the water. Complimentary snorkelling was also included if time permitted. The day brought a sharper contrast to Bali’s green interior, replacing rice terraces and forests with cliffs, beaches and open ocean.

From Highland Temples to a Sea-Facing Sunset

After the island adventure, the couple headed towards Bali’s cooler northern highlands. Handara Gate, with its traditional Balinese split-gate design, offered a striking entrance framed by lush mountains and greenery.

The journey continued to Ulun Danu Beratan, the famous lakeside temple complex on Lake Bratan in Bedugul. Surrounded by water and mountain scenery, its distinctive shrines create one of Bali’s most recognisable landscapes. By evening, they had made their way towards the coast for Tanah Lot, where the temple’s offshore setting provided a dramatic backdrop for sunset.

Their Honeymoon Got an Adrenaline Rush

The next adventure took place along Bali’s southern coast with a water sports combo featuring banana boating, couple parasailing and jet skiing. It gave the couple a chance to experience Bali from the water before continuing their coastal exploration.

They then visited Padang Padang Beach, a small cove surrounded by limestone cliffs, before heading towards Uluwatu. Perched high above the Indian Ocean, the temple's clifftop location offered another spectacular sunset setting and a completely different atmosphere from the highlands they had explored earlier.

A Day on the Water, Then Dinner for Two

Their final full day brought another experience on the water with a Glass Bottom Boat and Turtle Island excursion. The boat offered views of the marine life and underwater surroundings while travelling above the clear coastal waters, while Turtle Island added a quieter wildlife-focused stop to their honeymoon.

The evening then brought the trip's most intimate experience. At Jimbaran Beach, the couple had an Indian vegetarian candlelight dinner arranged with a soft drink and a rose. After days of exploring Bali's mountains, beaches, temples and islands, the evening gave them time to simply enjoy the setting together by the sea.
