A trip is not just about pretty clothes, exploring Instagrammable locations and fit check reels with your partner, but also more. A successful trip needs a lot of planning, research and practical decisions, which shaped the trip of Pushpit and Divya.
While Pushpit initially was apprehensive about whether they could actually enjoy Bali comfortably in just 5 days, after a comprehensive breakdown of their probable trip experience by Vansh at Thrillophilia, he booked the trip right away, without any feelings of uncertainty.
Their Bali trip was structured with considerations like a leisure day after arrival, a car at their disposal so they could decide where to go on their own, two of the most photographed temple complexes on the east side, and the Nusa Penida day trip that nobody really skips. With four nights at Wina Holiday Villa in Kuta as the base, they never had to pack and unpack between hotels.
Pushpit and Divya were promised a comfortably paced tour that left them feeling content, not rushed. And after receiving his confirmed itinerary with a briefing of what exactly his trip would look like, Pushpit realised they trusted the right team.
Kuta Was the Soft Landing
The sedan was already at Ngurah Rai when they landed. The transfer to Wina Holiday Villa was quick. The first afternoon was spent settling in, walking around the area near the hotel, and having an early dinner somewhere local.
The second day, the car was at their disposal, flexible to their preferred pace. Eight hours, a private vehicle, and the freedom to point it wherever they wanted to go. Some couples use this kind of day for Ubud. Some use this to explore beach clubs in Seminyak.
Pushpit took the team's advice in not chasing a checklist's completion and kept their day flexible, which is usually the smartest way to use a free day in Bali.
Day Three was the Long One
Lempuyang is on the eastern edge of the island, and the only way to get the famous Gates of Heaven shot is capturing it in the morning light. Getting there late would mean standing there for 2 hours to get a single photograph. Pushpit already knew this because of their pre-trip briefing and didn't hesitate to agree to the 6:30 am pickup for Lempuyang Temple.
Their driver had clearly done this route multiple times. He knew when to leave, where to stop and how to time the visit so the queue at the gates was manageable. Tirta Gangga itself is the kind of place you do not really plan to like much until you get there and end up spending more time there than you meant to.
The day left them feeling tired, but in the best way possible, with their hearts filled to the brim with joy.
Nusa Penida was the Day Most People Came for
Day four was reserved for the one place they were most excited for: the island of Nusa Penida. The sedan to Sanur Port, the speedboat to Toyapakeh and then a private vehicle took them to Nusa Penida island for the western tour.
The T-rex-shaped headland of Kelingking Beach, the impossibly blue water below, and the steep climb down to the beach itself, which most visitors look at and decide against. Pushpit and Divya stood at the viewpoint, took their photos, and moved on with the rest of the day. Angel's Billabong came next, then Broken Beach, then Bubu Beach for the complimentary snorkelling.
The snorkelling stop was short. Five to ten minutes in the water with the gear provided, no instructor, and beginner-friendly, as clearly mentioned during the booking. The entire trip didn't pose anything they weren't already expecting.
Ten and a half hours by the time the speedboat dropped them back at Sanur, and the sedan was waiting to take them back to Kuta. Despite being long and tiring, it was one of the best days of the trip.
Pupshpit's Review and Thrillophilia's Team
"Itinerary was well curated, Vansh has done a great job in responding to all the queries and explaining everything in detail. On ground team was very supportive, special mention to the driver provided, he went extra mile to and took care of us during the whole tenure."
Pushpit's Bali review on Thrillophilia's platform afterwards picked out two people by name. Vansh, the destination expert, was there for planning and answering every question they had asked before the trip. And the driver, whom Pushpit said had gone the extra mile and looked after them the whole way through.
While Vansh helped build the trip, the driver had carried it. From expertly navigating Bali's tourist traffic to optimising the best time to visit the sites to avoid crowds, road personnel play a huge role in holding the trip's pace together.
Because Thrillophilia only provides drivers and guides verified for their expertise, trusting the on-trip guidance was easy. Every aspect of the trip came after careful consideration, planning for backups, and being prepared for any adverse situations without compromising on Pushpit and Divya's experience.
The couple had got the five days they had pictured in their heads when they had said yes to Bali in the first place. And they experienced the entirety of those 5 days with the best Bali had to offer, and that's where the trip's success laid.
