After years without a holiday, Satyam decided to take a break with a five-day trip to the Andaman Islands. Their journey combined Port Blair and Havelock with some of the destination's most beautiful beaches, island experiences, and a candlelight dinner by the beach.
From airport transfers and comfortable accommodation to inter-island ferries, sightseeing and a complimentary snorkelling experience, the trip was planned to keep the couple's major arrangements taken care of throughout their stay.
For Satyam, who was initially a little hesitant about travelling after such a long gap, the support from the Thrillophilia team made the experience much more comfortable.
"We had a wonderful experience. Since we were traveling after so many years, we were a bit hesitant in the beginning, but the Thrillophilia Team was so supportive and helpful that we didn't worry about anything," he shared.
An Easy Beginning in Port Blair
The trip began with Satyam's arrival at Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair on 11 March. A driver was waiting to transfer the couple to their hotel, allowing them to settle in before beginning their first day of sightseeing.
Their first stops introduced them to both the natural beauty and history of the islands. They visited Corbyn Cove Beach, where palm-lined shores offered their first glimpse of Andaman's tropical landscape.
The day then took a historical turn with a visit to Cellular Jail, popularly known as Kaala Paani. The couple explored the landmark associated with India's freedom struggle before staying back for the evening Light and Sound Show.
It was a fitting first day in the islands, bringing together the relaxed atmosphere of the coast and an important chapter of India's history.
From Port Blair to the Shores of Havelock
Day two marked the couple's move from Port Blair to Havelock Island.
After checking out, they were transferred to Phoenix Bay Harbour to board their ferry to Havelock. Once they arrived, they checked into their resort before heading out to one of the island's most celebrated beaches, Radhanagar Beach.
With its expansive shoreline and tropical setting, Radhanagar offered the couple plenty of time to slow down and enjoy the island's natural beauty.
After spending the day by the sea, they returned to their hotel for the night, ready for another island experience the following morning.
A Day of Blue Waters at Elephant Beach
The third day brought one of the most adventurous experiences of the trip.
The couple travelled to the jetty and boarded a speedboat towards Elephant Beach. Along the way, they got to experience snorkelling in the clear waters, with the activity included as a complimentary part of their package.
Elephant Beach gave them another opportunity to experience the marine side of Andaman. They could relax by the water, take a dip in the Indian Ocean and look out for the colourful coral reefs around the island.
For travellers looking for something more adventurous, scuba diving at Nemo Reef was also available at an additional cost.
After their time at Elephant Beach, the couple returned to Havelock and spent another night surrounded by the island's relaxed atmosphere.
A Sunrise at Kalapathar Beach
The fourth day began early with a visit to Kalapathar Beach.
The couple was picked up from their hotel and taken to the beach in time to admire the sunrise. The contrasting black stones along the shoreline created a distinctive landscape as the morning light reached the coast.
After enjoying the peaceful start to the day, they returned to the hotel to check out before taking a ferry back to Port Blair.
Once back in the capital, they checked into their hotel for their final night in the Andaman Islands.
The day's slower pace offered a final opportunity to take in the tropical surroundings before the journey came to an end.
Romantic Touch to the Island Escape
Along with the sightseeing and island experiences, the package also included a candlelight dinner at Havelock by the beach, adding a more intimate element to the couple's holiday.
It complemented the rest of the itinerary, which balanced sightseeing and adventure with opportunities to simply enjoy time together.
For a couple travelling after several years, experiences like a beachside dinner and relaxed evenings by the coast helped make the holiday feel more personal rather than simply being a sightseeing trip.
It was all About the Beaches, Islands and Memories
The couple checked out from their Port Blair hotel and were transferred to Veer Savarkar International Airport for their journey home.
In five days, they had explored Port Blair's historic landmarks, relaxed at Radhanagar Beach, travelled to Elephant Beach by speedboat, experienced snorkelling, watched the sunrise at Kalapathar Beach and enjoyed a candlelight dinner beside the sea.
The itinerary combined the essential Andaman experiences while keeping the practical aspects of the journey, including airport transfers, sightseeing vehicles, inter-island transfers, accommodation and permits organised for them.
What Made the Journey Stand Out with Thrillophilia
For Satyam, the biggest difference was the support he received throughout the holiday.
Having not travelled for several years, he admitted that there was some hesitation at the beginning. But the assistance provided by the Thrillophilia team helped remove that uncertainty and allowed the couple to enjoy the trip without constantly worrying about the arrangements.
"The Thrillophilia Team was so supportive and helpful that we didn't worry about anything," he said.
He also highlighted the comfortable atmosphere of the overall experience and thanked the team and guide who helped make the holiday special.
"The atmosphere was also very comfortable. Thank you so much, team members and guide, for making this a wonderful experience for us."
From the historic Cellular Jail and the shores of Corbyn Cove to the turquoise waters of Elephant Beach and the sunrise at Kalapathar, the five-day journey gave the couple a taste of several sides of the Andaman Islands.
And after years without a holiday, what mattered most was that they could finally enjoy the experience without the hesitation they had started with.
