What You Should Know More About Adventure in Bali

  • Q. How to reach Bali from India?

To reach Bali from India, you must follow the steps below:

    • Apply for an Indonesian Visa if you don’t have one already. Indian passport holders can also opt for Visa on arrival but your document needs to have at least six months validity from your date of arrival in Bali.
    • There are several airports in India that serve to Bali. You will be required to go for one connecting flight but it won’t take much trouble or time.
    • The international airport in Bali is the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

  • Q. Is a visa required for Bali? Is there visa on arrival in Bali?

Visa on arrival is offered in Bali for Indian passport holders. Visa on arrival is acceptable in Bali but limits your stay for a maximum of 30 days. You can seek to extend your visa or another 30 days by paying a fee of US$35. There are many travel agents around the airport who would be helpful in getting your Visa extended.

Getting a visa on arrival is, however, a pretty straightforward process in Bali and you won’t have to wait for too much to step into the country.

  • Q. What is the currency of Bali?

The local currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah wherein 1 Indian Rupee amounts to 206.39 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Several hotels will however accept payment in US$ too.

  • Q. What language is used in Bali?

The local language is Balinese. However, you will be able to well converse in English at most places around the country.

  • Q. When is the best time for a vacation in Bali?

The most popular season to visit Bali is during the months of May, June, and July. This is when Bali is the coolest. After July, Bali gets annual rainfalls and won’t be too suitable for day trips. Other times of the year are too hot. However, you will always get high humidity regardless of the time you visit Bali.

Book now Bali Honeymoon packages & cherish the most romantic time of your life!

  • Q. How many should I plan my holidays for?

While even a lifetime won’t seem enough to explore the beautiful Balinese Islands, you can hope to make a decent vacation in two weeks. This includes being a part of all major activities, visiting all popular places and being a part of the Balinese culture and celebrations. If you are taking a honeymoon, a week of stay should be enough. However, if you want to exploe the country fully, as a traveler, use your 30 days of visa!

  • Q. How is the general climate in Bali? What kind of climate is there in Bali?

Bali is quite humid all round the year. The days are always hot with the sun shining at its best! The average temperature during the day is about 26 degree Celsius. Nights are more comfortable but still humid. You will want to pack your bags likewise.

  • Q. What all should my travel luggage include?

You won’t need to carry too much on your trip to Bali and even if you have forgotten something, you will most likely be able to buy it locally. Being one of the most frequented islands, you are never far from supplies, whatever it may be. This also gives you the advantage of being able to carry a lighter bag.

Overall, your Bali packing should be about:

    • Clothing: light cotton clothing, quick dry garment, a lot of sleeveless and skirts/shorts, tees and anything comfortable and light. Even jeans can be heavy and uncomfortable on the Bali Islands.
    • Footwear: The standard is just a pair of flip-flop. However, you may carry another pair of running shoes/jogger and slippers. If you plan of hiking the Gunung Agung or the Mount Batur, carry good quality hiking shoes. Similarly, if you want to go clubbing, remember that most clubs won’t allow flip-flops and sandals.
    • First Aid Kit: Just carry the basic, any medication you are already on, a few ibuprofen (to get over bad hangovers), anti diarrhoea medicine and antimotility drugs.
    • Documents: Photocopies of your passport, a paper of travel insurance, receipt of any traveler’s cheque, emergency contact numbers (hard copy), and a few passport size photographs.
    • Other essentials: small multi-utility knife, small padlock, hand sanitizers, ear plugs, mosquito repellant, flashlight/torch/headlight, plastic bags for waterproofing in rains.

Bali is one of the least expensive countries to explore. You can hope to make a budget trip under INR20,000 for a week and inclusive of stay, food and transports. The overall trip cost will depend on the kind of vacation you are looking for. Staying in cities like Seminyak wil cost you more but you will have access to all things luxurious. However, if you have a tight budget, you can find really cheap accommodations in places like Ubud.
