    Savour the true flavour of the City of Lakes. A guided walk down the streets of Udaipur will allow you to witness firsthand the marvels of this beautiful place.     Starting at Gangaur Ghat, with tours running daily between 7:30am and 4:30pm (around 9 hours), the walk explores the historic temples at Lake Pichola before taking you into the heart of the city. Visit the stepwell that was once a source of water for the locals. If you have a keen eye for jewellery then a tour to the bustling bazaars will not go amiss. The Rajasthani artisans are well-known for their exquisitely crafted pieces of jewellery. The intricate designs of the trinkets are rivaled by the beautiful architecture of the past era. You can also check out the wares of bamboo craft and ingenious potters.

    Prepare to be regaled with local titbits over tea, by the residents of a more than a century-old house embellished with mirror work and fresco paintings. The region is as well-known for its architectural beauty as its handicraft and skilled artisans. You will have the opportunity to observe craftsmen creating beautiful wares with silver, gold and even clay! The traditional method of crafting pots and pitchers out of clay is an interesting sight.

    Away from the hustle and bustle from city life, the tribal village of Sisarma is a place untouched by the effects of time. Surrounded by majestic hills, it is one of the few virgin spots left in the country.

    This tour of roughly four hours starts and ends at the Mountain Ridge between 6am to 3pm daily.  From the starting point, you can witness the untouched, pristine beauty of the valley nestled between majestic mountains. The guided walk offers you a sight of several trekking routes. View the fascinating peaks of The Brothers, up in the northwest. On the north, towering on the landscape lies The Monsoon Palace. Another route heads to the shrine of Ubeshwarji and the placid waters of the Bari Lake.

    The tour allows you to interact with the local Bhil tribe and other villagers and provides an opportunity to learn more about rural life, its belief and customs. When here, you can relax over a cup of tea and snacks at the country guest house where a host will be available to satiate your curiosity about rural India. The tours are custom-made according to the route that you wish to travel, but all roads lead you to the same goal – a time when life was simple.

    Brace yourself with sightseeing places in Udaipur. Witness great grandeur at the Lake Palace, located on the Jag Niwas Island which glistens amidst Lake Pichola. It was constructed by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1734 and is an erstwhile summer palace of royalty. Another tourist attraction is the Maharana Pratap Memorial that lies on top of Moti Marg, Pearl Hill. Take a tour of the vintage car museum that displays an interesting collection of vintage cars belonging to the Maharajas of Mewar. Enjoy the sights of the second largest lake in this city, Fateh Sagar Lake. Other notable places include Saheliyon Ki Bari, Haldighati, Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Udaipur Solar Observatory, Dudh Talai Musical Garden and more.
