Grossmünster (Great Minster)
Located in the heart of Zurich's Old Town, Grossmünster is among the four most prominent churches of the city. Designed in the 12th century, the gothic towers and neoclassical architecture of the structure is what draws tourists. A 187-step climb leads you to the top of the tower, where you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the majestic Alpines and the lakes. Renovated from time to time, the most recent work was in the 20th century when the church was adorned with vibrant stained glass windows and bronze doors that complement the old-school towers beautifully! The Romanesque interiors lend a pre-historic vibe even in modern times.
