The trekking experience was fine, the organizer had planned every bit in precise and detailed me the itinerary on my arrival at Kathmandu. The trek was looking immense for me as I started up with it, and as I started trekking bit by bit, my fear reduced after witnessing the beauty of the villages and the nearby surrounding backdrops. At certain altitude, I was feeling as if the world shifted, the sky widened and it was like my feet were somewhere immersed into space. With chillness in my heart, lungs and face I trekked further and further along with other trekkers. The path to the base camp was still higher and as I climbed bit by bit I could feel the snow capped mountains moving towards me and from somewhere the icicles were hanging, as I had carried enough winter wears, I faced no issues at all, but otherwise also the guides over here are helpful and are arranging the things that are needed, in fact there are many places where you can hire stuffs to trek. Well then with few more moves ahead, I caught the first glimpse of the Mount Everest from so near and that too for real. This moment was enough to flush off my tiredness, I could feel a fresh flow of blood inside me, and well whatever I faced to reach this place was more than worth it. My adventurous trek came to an end and at last I felt bad when I had to say Sayonara to my fellow trekkers who became so close by then. All in all, the trek was worth every penny and energy spent!!!

My honeymoon was going on pending due to my tight schedule, but then I didn’t want to prolong it more, so I booked immediately for a trek to Everest base camp, as both me and my wife are great trekking lovers, we have trekked many times before but we never gave this a try as we kept postponing hearing that it was a very challenging one. I thought my wife wouldn’t be able to manage till the end, but she was more active than me and never gave up at any time even when the weather went down to minus degrees. To start with from the day one till the day twelve everything went out smooth, this is what we can expect when a reputed travel organizer takes up the job of arranging such hard treks. There were many other co- trekkers probably who were not pro in this, they had to face some problem like skipping some places or extending the trek for a day or more. Well talking about the trek apart from the breathtaking sceneries we enjoyed the unique Sherpa culture and had chance to see monasteries and museums on the way, we felt that those days were sheer pleasure – a trance filled state. My wife still says that we had entered into some Indiana Jones movie, YES! This is what we felt during those twelve days. A mix of natural beauty, fascinating culture and the sense that we achieved such a challenging trek is making me getting Goosebumps even now.

This trek has inspired me a lot, basically I love enjoying the natural beauty and the landscapes of any part of the world, when my relative told me to accompany her for a trek to the Everest base camp, I was not too keen on it, I was having a myth that trekking and enjoying the nature are two different concepts and you will not be able to justify both of it I thought, but I was totally wrong. Even though it was a hard trek, we got plenty of scope to halt every now and there to enjoy the scenic beauty, natural landscapes, pristine surrounding, freezing rivers and the immense flora and fauna at every junction. Even though winter trekking to this place is not advisable, we decided to take up the road that was not taken, and we don’t regret it as we never faced any issue. But after I am back from the trek I personally feel that this trek is not for the novice to take up at the first trial, this trek needs little professional skills to sustain the weather, altitude and the hard pathways. Otherwise all the things went over fine and cool. I was equipped with proper trekking gear so I never had any problem like my co travellers. It is obviously worth taking up such a kind of trek in your lifetime. Some treks like this will add memories to your life and give a new meaning to travel.

We had planned for a trip to Nepal, my friend was getting married, and so we all, our college friends gang decided to attend it, one of my friends suggested about a trek to the most challenging place – and this was when we decided to put the Everest base camp trek into our bucket list without any second thought. At first we were bit reluctant as we thought we may not be able to fulfill our trek dream, but we escaped as soon as the marriage was over, and kept aside ten days for this trek. The trek is definitely worth those days, time and money spent. The trek was not as easy as we assumed it to be, moreover there were light showers and as we didn’t pack much of clothing, we had to manage with the same stuffs and one or two we managed to buy anyways. I recommend my readers to pack ample clothing, wet tissues and few medicines as they will prove to be handy over there as you climb that altitude. Trek took us more than we had planned, we could make it in two weeks, but then even when the going was hard, the descend was easy and more simple than we thought. I would thank the organizer and the guide for making our trek memorable.

Well, where to start and Where to end! The Everest Base camp trek is the best trek that I have ever been till date! I am a great lover of nature and obviously trekking, and when this camp base gave me scope for both of these together, how I can ever miss out! This is the way my journey to this trek started. My friend had accompanied me on this trip, prior to the trip I read some reviews and was interested to take this, but now that I am back from this trek, I have to admit that whatever I read and whatever I am writing now is too less compared to the experience you are going to get there! The guide allotted to us was always there and helped us in our needs, the trek itself was more than amazing, and the trail to reach the summit was even more wonderful than the actual destination. Even though the altitude of the trek troubled us a bit, the first aid and the medical kit that we carried helped us to get relief from nausea and low oxygen problem. As we went during the month of February, the climate was little sunny with light snowfalls at nights, the temperature was ideal for us to walk through the whole way without giving us any obstacle. Over and all, this challenging trek was made easy and it is obviously a great value for money.

The Everest base camp trek is one of the unforgettable treks that I had ever been to! I went with this trek along with my elder brother and his friends, so we were totally a group of seven all of us aged in-between 20 – 28, this gives pretty fair reason to take up such a difficult trek. I went during the month of October, the climate was more than good, it is also heard that this trek will be ideal from March to May and again from September to December. However during the December month, you can expect the temperature to go below zero also, so be prepared for that. Even though we can trek alone, it is always advisable to go along with a guide, as they not only help you with the right and fast routes but they will also give you details of all the things that you are surpassing, you needn’t be a mere stranger in the trek, you can know about the culture, history and in fact spend some time with the villagers before you head to your next phase of trek. Well that being said; we enjoyed a lot making camp tents, bonfire dancing and then munching on the local Nepali cuisine at the local stalls. At the end of the trek I never even felt that I had ascended this 5545m so easily.

Not all travel agents would be able to deliver such an amazing service, I am really grateful to my travel agency and to out trekking guide Mr. Thapa who helped us out from start till the end. When I and my girlfriend got an annual break, we wanted to do something that was always in our bucket-list, a challenging and difficult trek to the Himalayas, and then when we read about the reviews of Everest base camp, there wasn’t any looking back. Initially my GF was stigmatic seeing the height of this gigantic trek, but somehow I was able to convince her and then we packed off for their trek with a minimum of clothing and essentials. I had no problem at as my girl friend had put a check list of all the needed things and packed all these, so whenever we needed anything on the way, she would immediately take it without even searching for it (this is one great advantage to travel along with girls, they are more than perfect in all these things). Well then the endless journey of ours began and the next two weeks weren’t just life, it was a meaningful life. I heard that the lodges in the higher altitudes get closed during peak winter, but luckily we didn’t experience any kind of this situation at all, our organizers had planned everything in advance and we also took effort to call out personally and finalize things before we reached there. As we were trailing we could feel ourselves lost in the clouds and it was a great experience to see the beautiful shrubs and trees on all the sideways, again my GF stopped here and there to take selfies (this is bit annoying when you travel with girls, they stop then and there for selfies break), but then I had to acknowledge because the sceneries and the hills were so captivating that even though I am not a photo freak, I too posed for many pictures. Our accommodation was a great place, it was equipped with all the needed things like – room heater, blankets, warm water to bath and delicious food were served on time mainly. But then I had a very minor problem as some shops accepted only the Nepalese currency, so to be on safe side you can carry some extra local currency (in case you are a shop alcoholic), I heard that some guides are too dependent but our guide was too accommodative and unless and until we invited him for a cup of tea, he never used to barge into our privacy. I personally loved the trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche as the whole backdrop was serene, calm and I loved the Rhododendrons mainly. The top of the Namche Bazaar gave a breath taking view of the surroundings which is still waving in front of my eyes. Some treks have the power to change the way you look at life, and surely this trek was one of my kind.

It is not always about travelling to some great place, but it is all about the experience that we get from out tour. This is what I felt after I am now done with my Everest base camp trek, I heard from my colleagues that this trek is a very challenging one, but then I and my school friends decided to give it a try. Even though I have a good trekking experience, my friend was not too much in to it, still we both were eager to take up and make it possible. The Everest is the most sought after destination for trekking enthusiasts, and we were lucky that we got an opportunity to trek to this wonderful mountain peak region. Now talking out about the trek, I and my friend just backpacked some clothing, good quality trekking shoe and started off to this wonderful destination, I had already arranged for the trekking schedule and the itinerary was briefed to us well in advance, the whole trekking journey of 14 days is still in front of my eyes, I am yet to recover from that trance state. We started our journey at Chennai and reached Kathmandu, and then from here we were flown to Lukla to trek to Phadking, the whole way we enjoyed the panoramic view and the beauty of the hills, from Lukla our trekking journey began gradually, with many ups and downs we never faced any problem anywhere, the Guides were not only co-operative but they were entertaining too, they gave us break every now and then, the short suspension that we came across was a great view at Kusum- Kangru. As we trailed through on this base camp trek we came across many villages and rivers. The villagers were very friendly; in fact we were surprised to see that some of the villagers were able to speak good English, they are very eager to help strangers and particularly trekkers, so there wasn’t any fear of getting lost at all, the pathway which we had to go through was full of ridges and trails, initially I was a bit afraid that we may get lost, but as I had said before the villagers are too friendly and they will helped us out with the ways, once or twice we were little behind our fellow trekkers, luckily with the help of the villagers we managed to get back to our team. As we had trekked only last week, the weather was rather clear and we were able to see clearly the snow capped mountains and the flowing rivers. As we were trekking high, we felt it little hard to trek, over here we had to take a small break and energize our body by filling it with local food and drinks that was available almost at every junction. Some of the other trekkers who hadn’t hired guides faced little problem, luckily we escaped such a situation. Overall, I had a very delightful experience and am longing to trek again during this winter.

Mountain treks are always fun, and if you also have a base camp in the trekking schedule who can say no to it. I was offered these treks as a holiday treat from my office and I accepted immediately. The best part that I liked was the camping at the base; we enjoyed playing antakshri, jam and other stuffs. Apart from this we even enjoyed moving to the nearby villages and lakes. If a trek to this place is well organized it will turn out to be a real treat for you guys, mine was such an one.

Hill trekking is fun. What’s more fun is doing it in Nepal. This was my first visit to Nepal, and trekking there was simply spell-binding. I had a really great time and it was completely awesome trekking those peak spots. There was no drawback at all. It was simply splendid.

Thrillophilia has the best operator in the market. The trek guide was professional and was friendly. The tea house's stay was comfortable and we trekked in November and the terrain was covered in snow and the guide guided us well how to trek in the snow without having much trouble. The experience was amazing and would love to book for other treks as well.
