Nandi Hills

The trek to Channagiri takes you to the amazing Nandi Hills near Bangalore, which happens to be one of the favorite weekend and trekking spots for the entirety of Karnataka. And on this range of hills lies the offbeat yet highly adventurous trek to the top of Channagiri. The 2-hour trek to the top begins from the very bottom of the peak where you will be walking by hugging the ridge of the peak. You will notice that the place has a rather arid kind of vegetation, but that is totally complimented by the unbeatable views of the Deccan Plateau. The challenging trail ends at the top, where you will have your packed lunch. From the top, also, you will get some unbeatable views of the nearby hills like Skandigiri and the Nandi Hills. The tour starts from a pickup in Bangalore and ends with a drop-off to the same fixed locations.*Note- Kindly refrain from taking on this trek if you are unfit as the terrain is challenging and demands decent stamina.Reporting Point: BangaloreEnd Point: BangaloreDuration: 12 hrsPickup location for Channagiri Trek06:30 AM - Pickup from BMC, Indiranagar06:45 AM - Pickup from  New Shanti Sagar Hotel, Domlur07:00 AM - Pick up from Garuda Mall, Magrath Road Starting Time: 6:30 AMEnd Time: 6:30 PMTrek distance of Channagiri Trek: 3 km Difficulty level of Channagiri Trek: Easy to Moderate

Nandi Hills

The trek to Horagina Betta takes you to this small hillock that falls on the way to Nandi Hills mountain. An offbeat and lesser-known location, it is still pristine and even has a beautiful temple of Lord Shani-Eshwara. Located about 65 km from Bangalore, which is the starting point of the tour, the meaning of the name of this hillock is 'The Nandi one'. Standing at a height of 1,440 meters above sea level, you will find the terrain to be a mix of rocky and green-clad, with occasional sightings of some rare birds. The entire trek is an experience of adventure and pristine nature around, but the view from the top is what takes the cake. You will get a breathtaking view of the nearby regions, and hills, including the Nandi Hills. After spending some time here, we will return back down and leave for Bangalore. This brings the experience to an end. Reporting Point: BangaloreEnd Point: BangaloreDuration: 12 hrsPickup:06:30 AM - Pick up from Indiranagar 06:45 AM - Pickup from New Shanti Sagar Hotel, Domlur07:00 AM - Pickup From Lifestyle, Magrath Road (Near Garuda Mall)Starting Time: 6:30 AMEnd time: 5:30 PMTrek distance: 7 kmDifficulty level: Moderate

Nandi Hills

About the activity : If cycling is one of your favourite sports, then a 30km trail around the pristine Nandi Hills towards Melekote through the Devarabetta forest range is perfect for you, even if you are a beginner! If the intimidating heights of the hills scare you, you can still opt for the level 1 cycling trail which starts at the Nandi Hills base and heads towards the Melkote Cross, making it easy for your legs. The Devarabetta forest range nearby has almost zero traffic, which is a relief and is home to quite a few beautiful species of birds. Embark on the Melkote Nandi cycle ride now for an energy packed thrill!  The Melekote Nandi cycling ride starts from the Nandi Hills base goes via Devarabetta Range and ends at Melekote Cross. The roads are predominantly good for the cycling ride, with about 22km of stretch being tarmac and the rest is torn tarmac or gravel road providing you with enough challenges to learn to handle an MTB effectively. After reaching Melekote Cross, the cyclists will be ferried back in the support vehicle to Nandi Hills base and following that the team will head back to the Sadashivnagar Swimming Pool to return home.
