Kali River: The picturesque Kali River offers the best opportunities to enjoy Dandeli river rafting. This river flows through a huge part of Dandeli town and offers a 12 kilometers long rafting run. The Kali river offers three types of Dandeli rafting opportunities - Short water Rafting, Mid Water Rafting, and Long Water Rafting. Short water rafting is done through a 1 to 2 kilometers long rafting stretch for an approximate duration of 30 minutes. Mid Water Rafting and Long Water Rafting are done through a rafting stretch of 5 kilometers and 7.5 kilometers respectively, for an approximate duration of 1 hour.

The Kali River has rapids of Grade II and Grade, which can be tackled by novice as well as seasoned rafters. The rafters can access the start points by taking a jungle jeep. If you are a beginner, you will be trying your hands at the sport in Grade II rapids. Experienced rafters, who are well-versed with balancing and steering skills can directly face the Grade III rapids, which are considered a bit challenging.

The place also has a good river rafting option. The rapids are not fearful and don't compete with Rishikesh or Nainital but are good enough for first timers. Once in Dandeli don't forget to go for wildlife safari if you are as lucky as us may be you will also see black Panther.
