About the Activity:Embark on this amazing and adventurous tour amidst the Cairn's rainforest.Get picked up from your hotel in Cairns at around 2 PM and drive up the scenic Gillies range to the Cairns Tablelands, climbing up to 800 metres above sea level this is one of Australia’s windiest roads.Stop in the Danbulla State Forest to observe a fascinating 800-year-old, Cathedral Fig Tree with a giant root system.Afternoon tea at Lake Barrine, a volcanic crater lake nestled amongst rainforest followed by a walk through the rainforest to see the towering Twin Bull Kauri Pines and look for wildlife such as the boyd’s forest dragon, musky rat kangaroo and rainforest birds and learn how the local aboriginal tribes use some of the plants and vegetation.Then head to Lake Eacham, an extinct volcanic lake to look for saw shelled turtles, archerfish and eastern water dragons and get private access to viewing area to catch sight of an active breeding pair of Platypus.Enjoy dinner at Nick’s restaurant in Yungaburra or the Malanda Hotel and have a sip of coffee, tea or hot chocolate provided.After dark, head back to the rainforest where the huge Curtain Fig Tree plays host to various species of nocturnal wildlife. Conclude your tour at around 10 PM by heading back to your respective hotel in Cairn.

About the Activity:Jump on board our 4WD for this exclusive and spectacular visit to the Rainforest and the mighty Barron falls, including Surprise Falls. After collection from the accommodation head north to the lower Barron Gorge National Park and visit Surprise Falls. This beautiful Waterfall is 243 metres high and set amongst the scenic, lower Barron Gorge. Next ascend the Lamb Range to the west of Cairns and stop at the Lake Morris lookout. From here enjoy spectacular views over Cairns city and towards Green Island.Continue your journey, visiting Lake Morris & Copperlode Dam – this is Cairns’ water supply and surrounded by World Heritage rainforest-clad mountains, it’s a unique and outstanding location to visit. Next stop is Kuranda;l enjoy a short driving tour of the village and continue to the World Heritage listed Barron Gorge National Park for more spectacular photo opportunities of the Mighty Barron Falls and the stunning Wrights lookout.Finally as the tour concludes, head back towards Cairns via the Wet Tropics World Heritage drive on the Kuranda range. Stop at the breathtaking Henry Ross lookout before arriving in Cairns where and return to your accommodation.
