Bissau Trek
We start in Fatehpur Beed from north of the Shekhawati region.The sand dunes are adorned with shrubs where farmers have found water from deep wells. Ramgarh is a town with many painted Havelis, an interesting traditional market place.
Encounter very high sand dunes and hidden-away desert villages and reach the beautiful hamlet of Mehansar. Mehansar is a hamlet between Fatehpur and Sekhawati which can be walked to in 2 hours. We camp at Mandawa on the way.
How to get there
By Air: From Delhi to Jaipur airport and road journey to Sekhawati district
By train: From Delhi to jaipur by Ashram Express and 180 km journey by car.
Nearest Town: Fatehpur district
Distance: 180 km from Jaipur, 245 km from Delhi
Exact Location: Bissau is 32 km north west of Jhunjuna
Best time to visit: Mainly in Winter i.e between October and March.

- Look out for Bissau festival which goes on for the 10 days and happens in the month of September or October.

Jorawargarh Fort, built by Thakur Jorawar Singh son of Thakur Shardul Singh Shekhawat. Akhegarh Fort, built by Thakur Akhe Singh son of Thakur Shardul Singh Shekhawat and Khetri Mahal, built by Thakur Bhopal Singh of Khetri.
Other places to see are Modi Haveli, Kaniram Narsinghdas Tibrewal, Narudin Farooqi Haveli, Mohanlal Ishwardas Haveli and Alsisar Palace is worth visiting. All these places have interesting legends surrounding them.
