About the Destination:

Since the capture of Mysore Kingdom from the enigmatic Tipu Sultan, the British Militia & their families made Bangalore their home. The flourishing cantonment east of the beautiful Cubbon Park was very English in its planning. Wide roads lined by trees, spacious bungalows with gardens, parks, shopping bazaars, clubs, ballrooms and local breweries; everything just makes it for a typical English town of the 19th century located in the heart of South India.

The city in this part boasts of its single-storied houses with colourful gardens and ornamented windowsills, typical bungalow architecture flaunting the tall roofs and outhouses in the backyard. These houses that tells the captivating tales of the past are now slowly disappearing, and you should visit them before they become history with the flowing time through Bangalore walking tours!

About the Activity:

Soaking in the old world charm of Richards Town, catch a breath of fresh air and some snippets of local history in the verdant Richards Park through Bangalore walks. In addition to the rustic charm and appeal of the vicinity, there are a few pretty yesteryear villas and local churches in the idyllic settings. At the end of the Bungalow walk in Bangalore, you will be visiting a local gallery that takes viewers back to Bangalore of the 70s era.
