    About the Place:

    Part of the rich biodiversity found in the tropical rainforests of Singapore is the famous Jurong Bird Park. Located in the region of the same name in Singapore, this aviary, bird park and tourist attraction is spread in an area of whopping 49 acres on the green slopes of Jurong Hill. With visitors touching almost a million every year, Jurong Park is home to more than 5000 birds ranging across 400 species, housed in various habitats. These habitats are mostly walk in aviaries dedicated to birds of either common inheritance or belonging to the same region. There are also peripheral aviaries from where you can see a huge number of birds living in their natural habitats.

    The aviaries that form the bird park are named as African Waterfall Aviary, Dinosaur Descendants, Wings of Asia, Lory Loft, Penguin Coast, World of Darkness, and Pelican Cove, each depicting and housing various birds of different species. The experience of walking into an aviary and listening to the various bird calls coming from all around you! You can even take a tram trip of the park and spot various birds around. This place has become a favorite of many who have come here for witnessing some of the most beautiful and rarest birds in the world, a spectacle that not only excites but also calms you down.

    And is it not just the birds, the aviaries and exhibits here. Jurong Bird Park is also famous for hosting several Bird Shows inside their theatre for the entertainment and information of the visitors here. Not only are these shows highly dazzling, but are also equally full of knowledge. The High Flyers Show has the honor of being the biggest show in the world, with a number of performing bird in a single show. The birds included are the mimicking cockatoos, pelicans, flamingos and hornbills. The Kings of the Skies show, on the other hand, focuses on the hunting habits of many birds of prey, who fly in a royal manner over the trees of the park. Also famous among the visitors is the Lunch with the Parrots show, that happens with the Flamingo Lake in the background.

    The park is home to golden breasted starling, turacos, hoopoe, ostriches, emu, lories, lorikeets, penguins (humboldt, rockhopper, macaroni and king species), owls (fish owls, boobook and snowy), and pelicans.

    The ticket entitles a person to the entry of the park, a tram ride, and an animal show at the Jurong Bird Park.
