Sirsi, a tranquil town dotted with terracotta tiled houses, Jain Basadis and Hindu temples has maintained a stoic silence about its immense natural offering. On this overnight trek and camping tour, you’ll ramble in the evergreen forest to make way to a resplendent coastline. Taste typical Malanad cuisine served with warm hospitality. And if luck is on your side, catch a hint of the wildlife around.
Around 8:30am after breakfast, you’ll be transferred from Sirsi to Bangoon (25km), the start point of the trek. The trail passes through some of the most beautiful locations tucked away inside the Western Ghats. Cross Yana, a set of incredible monolith rocks and the gigantic Vibhuti Falls. After lunch break here, continue to reach the destination, Chanagar (10km). Your 7 hour day long trek ends at Chanagar with pitching tents for the night over. Enjoy dinner, games and retire for the night.
On day 2, prep up with breakfast around 8am. Begin the trek to Naguru, near Gokarna. The trek once again stretches for 9 hours, with packed lunch en route. Reach Naguru around 6pm. Relax, board into vehicle for transfer to Sirsi (50km).

Nestled in the heart of the Western Ghats in Uttar Karnataka is Sirsi, a small town with a rich historical background. Once under the rule of the Kadamba Dynasty, Sirsi abounds with great experiences. On this two days of trekking journey, get to know the history, relax in its natural brilliance and perhaps catch a glimpse of wildlife of the region.
Your overnight guided trek begins around 8:30am from Sirsi after breakfast. Reach Bakkal (20km) that serves as the base camp. From here, you commence the traverse of 10km to Jajigudde over 8hours. Along the way explore the ruins of Konikote and reenergise with lunch. Reach Jajigudde around 5:30pm. Settle into your tented accommodation for the night and sleep amidst the sweet caresses of nature.
On Day 2, start early around 7am. Take in the splendid sights as you trek 7km to Sarangadde. Return to campsite at Jajigudde for lunch. After which, enjoy the afternoon trek to Sivaganga Falls. Seek water therapy under this unique 74m high waterfall and reel in the splendid view of sun setting over the horizon before leaving for Sirsi.

Situated in the Western Ghats towards the coastal parts of Karnataka is the Sharavathi Valley wildlife sanctuary, a region rich in biodiversity and home to the second-highest plunge waterfall in India - the Jog Falls. Named after the river Sharavati flowing here, there is also the Linganamakki reservoir located in its premises. The ride in this region takes you through this natural reserve and its surrounding areas making it an unforgettable experience.
Description:
This 2-day guided cycling trip begins at night around 10 pm when you depart from your home and travel overnight to Hosanagara by road. On reaching Hosanagara early morning, freshen up and have breakfast at available cottages, after which the guided cycling stage of the expedition commences. In an hour you would reach the historical village of Nagara where you would be visiting the fort built on a small hill, beside a lake. Reach Nittur village around 1 pm, have lunch and relax for a short while before resuming pedaling towards Sigandur. Reach the camping site near Linganamakki reservoir in the evening, stay in tents for the night and relish in dinner served by the bonfire.
The next day starts in the early hours around 6 am when you have breakfast and then cross the reservoir with your cycles on a motor launch. You would be riding on a scenic route to Sagara and would also have a brief stopover at a Shiva temple in Ikkeri. On reaching Sagara around noon, a vehicle will take you to the Jog falls where you would have lunch and can unwind with a splash in the refreshing waters in the shallow areas. Since the distance between Sagara and Jog Falls is approximately 28 kms, you could choose to ride your bicycle to the falls too. You will resume your journey back to Bangalore at 4 pm and reach the city by midnight where your cycling tour comes to an end.

Go for a scintillating bike ride in the surrounding areas of Sirsi where waterfalls, unique rock formations and ancient temples are waiting to be explored.
Description:
Begin at night around 9:30 pm for an overnight journey to Sirsi by road. Reach Sirsi early next morning and check into a hotel for freshening up and having breakfast. You will then commence your cycling tour at 8:30 am and will cover approximately 50 kms to Yellapur. The total distance covered will be your choice with a maximum of 120 kms. En route you will cross Sahasralinga before reaching Ganeshpal for the lunch,post which you will be taken to Yellapur by vehicle and will arrive there just in time for tea before heading to Magodu Falls on your cycle. You will also get to watch the sunset at Jenukallu Gaddu from where you would again board the vehicle to head back to Sirsi. Dinner would be served in the hotel and you would then retire for the night.
The next day starts in the early hours around 7 am when you have breakfast and then leave for a bike ride to Yana. You would pass by an old temple in Manjuguni before arriving at Yana for lunch at around 1 pm. The return journey to Sirsi is by a vehicle and you would then visit the Marikamba temple located nearby. Leave for Bangalore in the evening, stop at Shimoga for dinner, and reach the city by midnight and get dropped to your place.
