Located 250 km from Bangalore, Sakleshpur, one of the scenic hill stations in the Western Ghats, is the home to the Murkannu Gudda and Hadlu Waterfalls. Showcasing a rich biodiversity, this 8km guided trek of around 5 hours is one of the popular ones in Sakleshpur.
Leave from Bangalore at around 11pm and arrive the campsite next morning. At around 7am, attend the briefing session wherein the experts discuss about the dos and don’ts of trekking in Sakleshpur. Post this, start to Murkannu Gudda, Uddenamaradavaare. Enjoy swimming in the picturesque manmade lake, witness the spectacular views of sunset, savour lunch en route and trek back to the campsite. Bonfire, music and dinner will add more fun to the evening.
Have breakfast around 8.30am and start trekking towards the Hadlu Falls. Make your way through plantation and forest and be rewarded by bathing in the icy waterfalls. Enjoy bird watching and catch the glimpses of the colourful avifauna of Sakleshpur. After this visit, trek back to the campsite and have a sip of energising tea or coffee, and depart the campsite.
